Simple, classic, and elegant are the first words that come to mind when we think of 3T. Unlike so many others out there that are attempting to branch into unknown territory, 3T sticks with what it does best -- making beautiful componentry that works. Such is the case with the Rotundo Team Handlebar, as its classic shape and proven materials continue to make it the preferred bar for a host of professional cyclists around the world.
3T calls its Rotundo a traditional, medium-deep, round drop bend. Upon first glance, it might look like any other carbon drop bar, but that's where a close examination distinguishes it from the rest. 3T is well aware of the trends that come and go in road racing, particularly in the handlebar arena, but the Rotundo's relatively unchanged pattern has endured for more than 30 years for good reason -- its shape provides the perfect blend of control, handling, and versatility.
The round tops provide a familiar platform for your fingers to naturally curl around, with the moderate reach creating a seamless transition to your hoods. But, it's the drop sections that really define the Rotundo. While 'ergo' handlebars provide a few stock positions, the Rotundo features generous flats that are smooth and uninterrupted by abrupt bends. For professional racers and riders who spend the majority of their time down in the drops, having these multiple hand positions is an absolute must.
The Rotundo was built using 3T's lightweight, ultra-stiff carbon fiber. It weighs in right around 200 grams (size 42cm) and features a 31.8mm clamp diameter that extends outward in order to accept clip-on aero bars. Its reach measures 83mm, with the drop at 139mm. Textured surfaces were added at the shifter mounting zones, providing added security against slippage, while clean cable routing is made possible through the bars' interior grooved channels.
The 3T Rotundo Team Handlebar is available in the color Gloss Black and in the sizes 40, 42, and 44cm.
