Good set up, Great price...

After much influence from my brother who has been fishing baitcasters for years, I gave in and got one of my own. This set up was on sale and I had a $25 for joining Cabela's Club. I pretty much stole this rod from Cabela's it was so cheap. This set up is fantastic. Casts are simple and fun. The reel is very adjustable to whatever you're throwing, everything from big spinners and jigs to wake and jerk baits. I like the flippin' switch too, don't know how to use it yet but I really appreciate all the options this combo has to offer. The reel's gear speed and reel size work well together and the rod has plenty of backbone. If you need a baitcaster for the first time or just a another one for any other reason, this is a great buy. Thanks and tight lines.

great quality reel, what a deal

Having used baitcasters since the mid 80's I can't imagine a better combo for the price these days. I have used it now 3 times I am extremely impressed with the smoothness of the casting I am hitting my targets with ease, the drag is easy to adjust even as bringing a fish in. It casts a long ways, I believe further than any other baitcaster I have owned. I typically pay for a reel what this combo costs - so I can't imagine what more a several hundred dollar reel would offer. The rod is decent, -still trying to determine just how sensitive it is, but the reel clearly is terrific. I now own two of these combos.

Great deal, going to buy another

I bought this combo this summer and it is my first bait caster. It took a little while to get used to but now it is by far my favorite set up out of my four poles. The rod itself is strong and easy to handle. The reel is amazing, like I said I am going to buy another and I look forward to using both of them on my upcoming fishing trip. You cant go wrong with this combo.

Great Comb

This is a great combo for anyone who just started using a bait caster or someone who been using one you can't go wrong with this setup. You may find a lower price bait caster combo else where but not of this quality.
