Abu Garcia C4 Round Baitcasting Reel Reviews:

Best AG I've had so far

Nice solid build, feels great in you're hand. Very smooth and 0 back (reverse spool). Reel feels nice and tight, no loos "play" and did I say "SMOOTH" I ordered 2, one of the 6660 and one 5600. I wasn't sure if the size difference would be that extreme, I should have got both in the 6600. Size difference is negligible and for the same price, might as well have the greater line capacity. This model has the AG upgrades, ddo some research online and you will find this to be a great, solid reel. I have used mine in the last month for Striper fishing (freshwater) combined with 7' "ugly stick", boated a near 14# striper and many in the 10# range and the reels didn't even break a sweat.

My wife and I bought 2 of the 5600 last year and use them strictly for trolling and love them to death. I can't say enough as to how easy one can adjust the drag when you have a bigger fish on and it runs, then tighten back up. We bought a 5600 and 5601, as my wife is left handed and I am right handed. We mounted them on new Ugly Sticks and it is a perfect balance for all of our trolling needs. Good luck and keep a tight line.

Great Price for a Great Reel

Received this as a gift and used it that night and a week strait. The casting is smooth, we used 30lb spider wire and had no problems, no nesting. We even used it for trolling and had no issues. Landed numerous fish largest was a 16 lb Channel Cat with ease. I will be buying another one of these for my bait fishing.

My "go-to" reel

I love this reel. It just "feels" right and always performs flawlessly...smooth operation and drag. I have two of the 6601 left hand models that I primarily use for bottom fishing on the WA coast for Ling Cod, Rockfish and Cabezon. I have several reels that cost more but this is the one I use.
