Ramsey Outdoor

NEW! Introducing the MAX™ series low profile baitcast reels from Abu Garcia®. The vintage names Black MAX™ that bring back visions of hefty limits of largemouth bass and walleye. When a day of fishing meant pre-dawn cross lake excursions, weary arms and sunburn necks, topwater heart stopping excitement, and the powerful Texas rig hook set, the MAX™ series of low profile baitcasters merit the names so linked with the best that fishing has to offer. No corners cut on these reels. Swedish engineering, MagTrax™ brakes, Duragear™ brass gears, 6.2:1 high speed retrieve, cam lock, ADS (anti-distortion) wiffle spool, instant anti-reverse, and the Abu Garcia® name that anglers around the world trust to meet their fishing needs.

Beast in it's price range

Will outcast many of the big names and has the power to land the big ones. This is a Revo made with Graphite sides. Don't pass it up.

Baby Revo is an outstanding reel

I have many expensive reels and I have yet to see any of them out perform my three Black Maxes

Negative Reviews:

horrible buy or I picked the wrong one.

Rating:*
Just picked this real up today. Sat outside in the yard for 2 hours casting. EVERY time I tried to make a straigt overhead cast for distance, nothing but a rat's nest in the reel. It didn't matter how I adjusted the brake or magnet. Needless to say I will be returning this one. Hopefully they'll comp me a new spool of line!

Stay Away!!!

Rating:*
I bought this reel and caught maybe a dozen fish on it and its already done. The gears are shot, I wished I would've never bought it. I would not reccomend this reel to any, save the extra money and get a Revo.

Neutral Reviews:

Made me cast better!

Rating:***
This reel is very good for the price. I'vr owned an Abu Red Cardinal for 10+ years. I wanted this one for a while, and finally bought 1. The only thing(s) I don't like are that the guide doesn't chase on casting, the guide housing is plastic, and sloppy (fit). I do like that it's light weight, and smaller than most of the fish I catch. The magnet clutch is neet. Reels real darn smooth, and fast. I casted mine about 20 times in the field to break-in. After that every one casted the same, far, far, off in the distance.
