Acorn Ragg Wool Slipper Socks Reviews:

Love these

I've had many pairs of these slipper socks over the years and hope that Acorn never stops making them. Since I wear them so much, the sock part inside the slipper eventually wears out, but they usually last me at least 2 or more years. I put them in the washer in a lingerie bag and air dry. They keep my feet comfortably toasty but not sweaty like synthetic fabrics. Even though the bottom is smooth, it doesn't slip on tile floors and the cushioning keeps the cold from seeping through.

My Favorite Slippers ever made

I wear these ALL the time I'm at my cabin in the woods. They keep my feet toasty and I can even go outside to get wood in them. They aren't waterproof so you can't wear them in wet snow or rain but you can go outside on hard surfaces. I love them. This is my second pair. The first pair lasted 4 years with a lot of wear. The sole wears well, I only bought another pair because my big toe made a hole. They are awesome!

Some gifts have to be returned

I bought a pair for my dad, mom, daughter and husband. My dad's were too snug and he prefers what he already has, my mom said they were too difficult to put on, my daughter said they itched (apparently, she doesn't like wool) but my husband - who has had a pair for YEARS - LOVED them! He was the reason I found you and purchased them... I just thought the other three people would like them.

Brought Back Memories

Gift I helped an elderly aunt give her son who is wheelchair bound. He LOVES his new slipper socks and proudly wears them everyday! When his feet are warm, his whole body is more comfortable. He wore these as a youngster, so they bring back good memories. It's the little things in life, slipper socks :), that bring a smile to a face and soothe the soul when you can't change the harder things in life.

great for cold feet!

I have had these for a month now, and I use them every day in the cold Minnesota fall days. They work well because the wool keeps my feet warm but doesn't trap the heat like synthetic fabrics. Also, the wool isn't itchy, so they're warm and should last a while. I wear a 9 and the M fit great. Overall a good buy!

Wonderful

Some 30 odd years ago I had a pair of these. They lasted forever. I think my mother threw them out when I was on a trip. Now I have my favorite slipper socks back again. They are made as well as they were back then. thank you ACORN, and thank you CAMPMOR for having a discount price.

Best slipper socks ever

I've several pairs of slippers but none that are so light and comfortable from the start as are the Acorn slipper socks. In a climate controlled environment (winter heat, summer A/C) the slipper socks are probably suitable for year-round indoor use.

I probably won't use them outdoors due to the soft soles. Best feature: They're washable!

Leather Soled Slippers

Looking for leather soled footwear, in these man made material times, is almost impossible. I found one aging sandal maker in Hawaii who understands that leather conducts electricity - and allows one to maintain our natural connection to the earth. These slippers are deliciously comfortable as well as leather soled. So warm and soft. Thumbs up.

So far so good

I mainly use the slipper socks around the house. they are very comfortable and easy to take on and off. Caution they are wool socks after all so protect them against (watch out for) the small little moths that lay eggs in/on wool whose offspring then munch holes!!

Absolutely Perfect!

These slippers are great for relaxing after an activity that is taxing to your feet. They also excel at lazy lounging around days. The durable leather footbed is not just a layer of leather, it has padding and support. Ragg wool is one of the few perfect things.

Not Warm

My feet get very cold in Winter. These are not as I was led to believe the warmest thing you will ever put on your feet. I found a cheap pair of booties for men (Camo even) for a fraction of the cost. Now these are very toasty.

Not as good as described

It is not wide enough and the sock part would not stretch, making it extremely hard to put on. I returned them for a full refund!

The photos look great ... the actual = 0

Threw them away ... length OK, but sole too narrow even for my size 8 wife.

Slipper socks too wide.

Too wide. No one seems to make narrow slippers.

Bought for gifts

-Let me explain my 3 star rating. I was a little disappointed with the Acorns not the 5 folks who received them as Christmas presents. They liked them very much, at least a 4+ rating as a gift.

But I had a pair of these 'back in day'. They had a smooth leather sole that you could wear outside, even in the snow, I did on many camping trips. Just treat them with neatsfoot oil Shame, the new ones are suede and for indoor use. A great gift but a disappointment to me that an exceptional product is now only run of the mill. BTW excellent service from Campmor!

Not what it used to be

I have a pair of Acorn Slipper Socks given me as a gift 8 years ago. The quality has declined drastically. My old ones are lined with fleece and with good quality soles. I was so disappointed; the Acorn site shows no product comparable to my old pair. Ordered 3 pairs from Campmor; two for gifts and one for me. For lack of other options on short notice I gave the gifts. Will return mine. No issues with Campmor.

construction seems to be indifferent

Wh do I keep on having this feeling that I wish they were 'AMERICAN' made? the qualit seems to be a little indifferent. Materials seem to be fine...it's more the construction...sort of 'do I have them on the wrong feet?' sort of thing. might be that I have to 'break them in'.

Too big

I bought the S, I wear a women's size 9. It was enormous. Also the ribbed leg portion was stiff and scratchy, and too tight on my admittedly generous calves. I returned them.
chilly girl at Campmor on 01/01/2012

They don't fit!

my husband is a size 14 but, the size I purchased is too big. Would the lower size fit better? The back sticks out...
