ACR HotShot Signal Mirror with Whistle and Float -
The ACR HotShot Signal Mirror is easy to use, floats, and comes with a whistle for low-visibility signaling. ACR makes aiming foolproof with a red holographic dot in the center window—just lay the dot over your target, and signal away. A foam floatation disc keeps the HotShot afloat in overboard emergencies, and an attached USCG-approved whistle pierces through fog and the dark of night.

ACR HotShot Signal Mirror with Whistle and Float Reviews:

Reviews:

It seems like I'm always doing something where a required piece of equipment is a signaling mirror and a whistle. This is a good combo at a good price. Most of us have whistles, but another doesn't hurt. The signaling mirror, which I have never had to use, is easy to use and figure out. It is small enough to fit in a bcd pocket (for diving) and is a pretty good thing to have in a first aid kit or any rescue kit. This is a nice simple piece of equipment and if you are looking for a signaling mirror, i'd recommend this one.

This little combo is pretty cool. Whistle is decently loud and the float could probably hold up a little extra weight on the necklace (flint?). The mirror itself is great. I thought it would be something I just threw in my bag and never used but I found it is perfect for putting sunscreen on my face. Has directions engraved on the back for how to use it for rescue purposes. The whole red dot thing may take some practice but I think it is pretty self explanatory without trying to use that feature.

Personally, I never leave on a trip without having a way to get in touch with rescuers should the worst happen. I like this setup because it has the whistle attached to the mirror and comes with a flotation disc. Great product.

Simple and effective backcountry tool. Directions for using the mirror are permanently printed on the back.
Highly recomended piece for any survival kit.
