Ahi 600 Pro Series Cast Net Reviews:

great net , will buy another

After reading some of these reviews I was skeptical of purchasing this net , but after talking to the Cabela's phone sales representive, she said if not completly satisfied , I could return it for a full refund ( Cabela's is one of the few retailers with a guarantee like this) I wanted the 1/4" X 6 ft. to catch smaller shad for white bass and crappie and the AHI - 1.35lb. per foot appealed to me for the faster sink rate and AHI is one of the few net makers that have the 1/4" this heavy. Practicing in the backyard , after about 20-25 throws I had it where I was statisfied with the spread. At the lake, I caught enough shad on one throw in about 15ft. of water to fish all day. No problems as mentioned in the other reviews, I will buy another AHI in the 7' size in the future.

Ahi 600 Cast net

I have the 5 foot net. It was a good size to learn on and in a couple throws I can easily a couple dozen catch shad for sand bass and crappie fishing. The 5 foot size is easy enough to carry along the shore, until I can find some shad without getting tangled up. I gave the net a 5 star rating because 4.5 isn't an option. My only complaint is the rope that came with the net was a very stiff and slick poly rope. It didn't coil well, kinked easily and would tangle on itself. I replaced it with a 3 strand nylon rope. It was disappointing to get a great net, and have AHI cut corners with a cheap rope.
