Most comfortable "fashion shoes" I've ever owned, and they're cute too! A little bit about my needs for a shoe: they shouldn't pinch or rub my toes or any part of my feet, they should have a little arch support, a snug fit, and be light. They need to look at least a little fashionable for my age (which is late 20's), because I would be wearing them for work. In addition, since I walk from the subway to work and back every weekday, I needed thicker soles that would last a while before wearing through. I think most working women have that same kind of dilemma in looking for shoes - finding affordable shoes that are comfortable and fashionable, and I think these fit our needs. These are my first pair of Ahnus, and I am impressed by the quality of materials, their look and comfort. They didn't require any break-in time; they were ready for major walking right out of the box. The only thing that disappointed me was how easily they scuffed/scratched. I got the port royal color, and if I accidentally rubbed the shoe on a chair leg or something touched the outside leather, a light discolored mark would appear. I've never had leather shoes that marked so easily. This was just with normal wear in the office and walking outside. Even with that caveat, I still highly recommend these shoes. They are definitely worth the price if they hold up for a few years.
Comfortable and cute
Was a bit reluctant to buy these as I had never heard of the brand before (usually buy Keen, Naot, Birkenstock). The salesperson assured me that these were very well-made. I found them very comfortable from the minute I put them on. Only drawback is that they run a tad wide down both sides of the foot, but wearing socks with the shoes takes care of that problem. The wide toe box is perfect for me, and the shoe does not look massively big. Several people have since commented to me how nice they look. Have worn them all day for touring around cities and have stayed comfortable all day. So far they have held up quite well.
My New Favorite Shoe....But, it runs big
If it's time to bring out the winter cords, it's time to bring out this shoe. Perfect with heavier socks. Looks great with casual clothes and in a more casual work environment, can be worn also. Love the embossed look that blends with the shoe and the small embroidered flower on the side.
It does run big and I wish I had bought a half size smaller, but with heavier socks it works. I bought black, maybe I will also get the brown pictured above.
Got these shoes to replace a pair of Clarks (Funky Flowers) and love them. Super comfy right out of the box. They are like a clog but without the giant heel. The shoe doesn't come up too far on the top so the decorative band is visible, especially with skinny jeans. They do run a tad big (I usually wear a 7 1/2 and the 7 was perfect.). If you're looking for a casual, non-flat, non-sneaker then give these a try!
I love this brand. I have a very hard time walking, due to MS. I have 2 pairs of Ahnu shoes, one mary janes and now these loafers. These are some of the only shoes which enhance a proper walking gait. With some shoes my nerves get tingly and bothersome. Not with Ahnu. They are a dream. I walked many hours in Paris with them. I brought 2 other pairs of shoes but should have just packed these.
If you have duck feet, like I do, you will love this shoe! I have toes that are all about the same length, and heels that are hardly there at all. I have a hard time finding shoes that don't slip in the heel. These shoes are comfortable and they stay on my feet! Yay!! I immediately ordered two more pairs. I should order a few more!
Walking on Cloud 9
I am a kindergarten teacher, which means I am on my feet all hours of the day. I used to wear flats because they looked great, but my feet were throbbing by the end of the day. Since investing in Ahnu shoes, I am no longer in pain! They have great support and cushioning. Amazing :)
These are wonderful multi-purpose shoes. I bought them to have comfortable walking shoes other than sneakers. They are great with jeans and khakis, and would be OK in some offices. They fit my wide foot/narrow heel perfectly.
I wish I could get them in colors other than black.
Overall I think these are good shoes. I find they're the most comfortable to wear with socks and they're a little stiffer than I was expecting. The arch support isn't the greatest for me but I tend to have that problem with most shoes.
14 hour days in these and loving it!
I work 12-14 hour shifts in these and my feet love them. I took a risk with these because I prefer tennis shoes for work. However, I am glad I gave them a try because I love them.
