Very pleased!

I put a lot of time into researching hiking boots when it was time to replace LL Bean boots I had for 13 years! Those saw a ton of miles and performed outstanding. I didn't want to spend as much money as it would cost to replace them though so I began researching other brands. The most important factor to me, was to find a boot that was waterproof. I walk several trails where there are creeks and rivers. I also hike a lot in the winter and need to keep my feet dry in the deep snow. These AHNU boots have never failed me! The bonus is they are super comfortable and fairly light weight. They needed no time at all to break in - almost as comfortable as sneakers. I wear them year round. And they look great!!

Love the colors

I just wore these for the first time the other day. I have a wide foot and high arch. I won't be wearing them with a heavy sock yet but they are perfect and wonderfully comfortable. I was able to ware them all day no problem. Because I have a wide foot I always buy a half size larger. Sometimes I still can't get the shoe on. These are wonderful.

Great gift for the hiker in your family

I love everything about these boots. Went hiking in the Adirondacks with these boots, the only breaking in was walking around in my home the night before. I had a wonderful time and best of all no blisters or bruises on my feet thanks to these comfortable boots.

Great boots!

I've only gone hiking with these a few times, but they've been great every time. They have great treads and are surprisingly lightweight. They are high enough to provide ankle stability, and I love the rubber bumpers on the front to prevent excessive wear.

I would recommend to any outdoorsy type

I bought this boot for hiking easy trails. I like the way they look and fit so well, I've been wearing them more as a casual boot with jeans instead! Will still wear them for hiking since they are so comfortable.

Great Boots

The first time I wore these the grommet came off at the shoelace, EMS exchanged them and they have been perfect ever since. I have owned them for over a year, warm about 20 times. Used for heavy duty walking/hiking.

Negative Reviews:

Not a real hiking boot

My friend had this boot and recommended it - so I bought it. They felt a bit tight in the store but the sales rep told me they would stretch out - which I think is a reasonable statement if the boot is worn constantly and really broken in. Also, in my experience, it's better to have a snug boot than one that's too big. However, after several hikes, this boot still feels much too small and is a real pain to wear on descents. I have wiped out at least once on every hike due to complete lack of traction. If there is even the slightest amount of moisture on the sole, you can and will slip on any surface that is other than completely flat. I have not had this problem with other boots. Lastly, I wore these during the last snowstorm out of desperation, and within 20 minutes they were soaked through. I acknowledge that a small amount of snow over-topped the boot and got in, but my entire foot was wet, so I'm going to conclude the boot is not as waterproof as advertised. I'm disappointed...although the color is fantastic.
