Positive Reviews:

I purchased the Keen Venice H2, the Clarks Wave Swivel, and the Ahnu Tilden IV water sandals all in size 7 (I am usually a 6.5-7), which have a similar covered-toe style. My purpose was for a summer of river rafting (waterproof and good traction) as well as amusement parks (for all-day walking comfort and protection from being stepped on). In each case, the size was perfect, and they all offered great traction, support, and comfortable straps. I thought the Keen was the cutest of the three, but unfortunately it made my big toes feel smooshed. The Clarks were just as cute but they also smashed my big toes. These shoes were returned. Thanks, Zappos! The winner is the Ahnu! All the straps make it look busier and less streamlined than the Keens, so I like the look the least (but others tell me they are cute). But they are the only sandal which meet my needs and have a roomy enough toe box. I have found a new favorite brand!

These are my first Ahnu shoes. I wear a seven and a half and they fit true to size, although there is some adjustment available in the velcro in the back. Bought them in the purple (Dahlia Mauve) and I love the color. I also own a pair of Keen Newport H2 and while they offer slightly more support than the Ahnus I was looking for something with a little more pizazz in the color. These are also a bit more fashionable and not quite as clunky as my Keens. I am 52 years old and in good shape and I like to wear shoes that are comfortable and supportive while also offering up some sort of cuteness factor. I will wear them to work and for hiking, they will look great with my blue hiking skirt and purple jacket. Love Zappos!

Love this purple color. This is my first Ahnu. It's sportier than I had wanted but the color makes it a bit less so. It's very adjustable with the way the straps are designed. It's quite light and seems to breathe well despite being so encased. It seems to run on the wider side but I was able to adjust the straps nicely across the fabric of the shoe and behind my heels to make a good, fit. I felt like my pronation issues were supported, even coddled. Oh, did the say that the footbed is very cushy? Am looking forward to city walks in Europe with these! They should take good care of my feet on those cobbled and brick sidewalks.

Favorite shoe this summer

I wear these several days a week. As a daily bike commuter, I need something that can go to my semi-casual work place, and also be stable on pedals. The color (I bought blue) also coordinates with a lot of my clothing. I even wear them with casual skirts because they're attractive. Lots of compliments from other people!

These have held up well for walking and biking. Even though they aren't designed for biking, they have 2,000 miles on the bike this year. I think the solid semi hard sole helps hake them comfortable for standard pedals.

The most comfortable sandal ever!!

This is the second pair of Ahnu Tildens for me. They are so comfortable and they can be worn everywhere! Dress up or down. I wear them to work and I am on my feet for 10 hours straight sometimes with no discomfort. I just love these sandals!

Sooo comfortable!

I wear these every day in the summer - they are my second pair and I plan to buy more in other colors. Go with shorts, capris, and casual skirts! I am sorry it is too cold in northern Michigan to wear them in the winter.

These shoes rock! From the moment I put them on, my feet were happy! I am on my feet a lot during the day and there is no break in time, on pinches, no rubbing...just pure bliss! Thank you, Zappos, for great service.

Extreamly comfy!

I bought these shoes for a whitewater rafting trip and they worked great! I also wore them as my camp shoes at night and they are comfy and large enough to wear a pair of socks with them if it gets too chilly.

No break in required!

Bought these for vacation in Oregon. Mountains, beaches, trails and the city. I have to have arch support, and was happy on the days I wore them. Switched back and forth with my Merrell hiking shoes.

Nice, but may run small

Loved the shoe. The straps allow great width adjustment. But it seemed to tun small and alas I had to return it.

Neutral Reviews:

The shoe was not as cute on as I hoped it would be. Too many straps. Also, the instep strap appears adjustable but doesn't really allow you to adjust it. The shoe seems stiff, high, more rigid than other brands. If your feet have less problems than mine and you prefer a more rigid, firm shoe, this might work. Also, my big toes were pushing against the side/top of shoe, but no way could I wear a larger size. Not unattractive. Color is true to picture. But for me, I felt it would leave blisters and sore places on my feet. Ahnu is good brand, though. Oh well. Keeping the Keens instead.
