Aigle Chantebelle Sh Review:

These were so beautiful when I pulled them out of the package, my roommate and I both gasped. They feel beautiful and warm, and I love that the styling is so unobtrusive. No weird fur cuffs, no cheesy hardware. And they feel comfortable, like I could walk in them all day. Most importantly, they actually fit my very tiny calves and size 4.5 feet without any buckling at the ankle, which is a problem for me almost any time I try to buy boots. They do fit to the smaller of the US sizes listed, and they're quite narrow. The tag on the inside actually lists them as a EU 35/ US 4. Again, that's perfect for me. I was going to buy Dubarrys but they don't have small enough sizes for me, so I'm happy to have found these. A few reservations, only mentioned because they're so pricey: --The footbed is also lined with shearling. Great for warmth, but experience tells me that over time that wool will get worn down from the pressure of walking, and I doubt the footbed is replaceable. --Because they're all leather + suede on the outside, these boots will require more care than winter boots with rubber and synthetic outers. To keep the leather flexible and protected from salt and sleet and mud, they'll need regular cleaning and conditioning. Not worth paying this much if you don't want to put that time in.
