AIRE Outfitter I Inflatable Kayak - AIRE Outfitter I Inflatable Kayak - The Outfitter I inflatable kayak from AIRE is a river runner designed to be stable and forgiving in whitewater. With large tube diameters and a low seat position, your center of gravity is lowered, giving you incredible stability in whitewater. The shorter length of the Outfitter offsets the tube diameter so the kayak still feels nimble. No other kayak on the market offers such a combination of stability and control. A heavy-duty PVC outer shell provides superior durability, and airtight internal bladders provide an extra measure of strength and safety. The adjustable Cheetah seat features a stiff backrest with a large storage pocket and bottle holder and easy clip in points. It can also double as a comfy camp chair. With a roomy interior and multiple tie-down loops, there's plenty of room for gear on self-support trips. At the end of the day, roll

AIRE Outfitter I Inflatable Kayak Reviews:

Positive Reviews:

Paddled this down the Middle Middle section of the Sky river here in WA (class IIIs). This was a new one my friend kindly let me try his. it is an excellent boat, very nibble yet very stable and comfortable. I am 300#s and 6'8" so finding capacity and agility in a Ducky is tough. I also paddle whitewater about 1 per week. this is a great boat. Could easily handle anything you can as far as whitewater. I plan on buying one here shortly, based on how well it worked out for me a week ago. It is expensive because it is commercial grade design and quality. I have 3 other Aire boats, the company and products are outstanding!

Other Reviews:

The Outfitter I is a great boat. I took one down the Grand Canyon in 2009 and ran everything big. It is responsive, easy to put where you want to go and stable. For advanced boating thigh straps and foot pegs are a must. I also purchased the thwart seat, you can sit on top of it when paddling flat water. The rocker bottom makes for the responsiveness of the boat but also makes self rescue a little more tricky when getting back in the boat. I also have a Hyside extreme and took it down the Grand Canyon in 2007, though it is a little more stable and easier to self rescue with, I prefer the Outfitter for its handling characteristics. Great boat the Outfitter I, I run class 4 and have taken it over 35 foot waterfalls. Buy one and go big.

Neutral Reviews:

I didn't buy this, but just used one a friend of mine owns, and let me borrow. It inflated easily, and seemed stable in the water. It did not feel as sturdy as a non-inflatable, but I used it in class 2 and it held up just fine. It doesn't have many of the luxuries of a non-inflatable, and it did get me wet, even in only minor waves. Thus, I feel this is a good product for its class, but I wasn't really impressed.
