Airflo Line Supple Trout -
Ridge Supple technology for a line that is pliant in the hand and allows the line to float on the water to reduce drag and provide a more natural presentation. The line coating flexes and maintains sharp loops, improving casting in cooler temperatures and adverse conditions. The ultralow friction Ridge surface and low-stretch power core permits the line to generate incredible speed resulting in improved distance, accuracy and a delicate presentation regardless of conditions.

Best line yet

I've had 'em all - SA, Rio, Cortland, Orvis - Airflo's Supple Ridge blows them away.
I knew it was different when it came off the factory spool with no coils, and a loop on both ends so it was a snap to attach to backing.
But the proof was on the stream - you get the shooting performance of Sharkskin without the Sharkskin aggravations or price, plus it's memory-free in all temperatures.
Teamed with my Loomis GLX 5-wt it's simply the best performing line I've ever used.
Mine now has well over a hundred days on the water without a sign of cracking or wear. I marvel at this line's performance every time I'm out.

Great line. I've used a bunch of Rio and SA, and those are good...but this line outperforms both. I paired the WF5 up with my Sage XP 5wt, and it rocks. Also, The polyurethane coating, as opposed to PVC on all other lines, just feels nicer/tougher. Great taper, mends well, shoots well, handles well, and floats well...nuff said. Get it. Oh, and Airflo's Whizz Lube works nicely on it as well. Get that too.

Great Line

I used this line for two seasons and really enjoyed the way it performed. It rides high, easy to mend, and very easy to cast. My only complaint was that the shielding felt tough but cracked. Two seasons with a line just isn't going to cut it for me.

Airflo Ridgeline

I bought this line after what were "stellar" accolades. After first day it was not possible to say how it performed as the stream was overgrown and impossible to perform as much as a roll cast. Now after fishing some open water for pickerel, and streams for trout, I found the line not very slick, extreme memory(coiling) after 1 week, and not particularly easy to lift off water with a small amount of line out. I don't know if some of these complaints are due to my style of fishing , operator error, or valid, as I have fly-fished half heartedly for 15 years until 2 years ago when I have picked up nothing but a fly rod for "sunnies" to tuna and everything in-between. I may not be the best, but I know what feels good to cast and this line despite loading fair, is not it for me.
