I'm a novice, so I was kind of shooting in the dark when I bought the 0 Degree Slick Rock. The product description made it seem like this bag wouldn't be appropriate for a minimal load, but I was able to cram the bag into the included stuff sack and get it all into my tiny pack. The bag kept me warm for the whole night in New Hampshire's White Mountains. There was 5 ft of snow on the ground below us and we woke up to ice crystals on the outside of our tent, but I wouldn't have known it in my cozy sleeping bag. | |

I used this for a month on a NOLS mountaineering trip. Seemed to work fine, no complaints, kept me plenty warm even on the coldest night. Packs down pretty small in the included stuff sack too. Wasn't overly concerned about weight or anything, so didn't really pay attention to that. I find the fabric to be quite nice and comfy to sleep in too. Will be using it further this winter, for sure. | |

I was definitely warm in this mummy bag when I was in Joshua Tree. Can't wait to try this out during snow camp. My only gripe is the stuff sack is too small. It felt like a battle to pack it in! | |

I was very excited to try my 0 degree sleeping bag out last weekend on a backpacking trip. The weather got down around 17 degrees overnight and I was left shivering in my bag. Not only should my bag have kept me warm, but I was also wearing 2 pairs of socks, 2 pants and 2 long sleeve shirts with a flannel jacket, hat and neck warmer. I don't know if I received a faulty bag, but I was very cold. I am glad that I was able to test it out before winter camping and really freezing my butt off. I am giving this the worst rating because it is a zero degree bag that did not fulfill its commitment to keep me warm to 0 degrees. On a positive note: I have used it in 40 degree weather and it has kept me toasty. Also, the stuff sack helps to compress the bag nicely. | |

I went backpacking this last weekend and was excited to test out my bag. The temperature got down around 17 degrees Fahrenheit over night and I was very cold in my bag, even while wearing 2 pairs of socks, 2 pairs of pants, underarmor top and bottoms, a short sleeve shirt and a flannel. I'm glad that I tested it out on a cold fall night before winter camping with it and really freezing my butt off! If the bag is advertised as a 0 degree bag it should be. On a positive note, the stuff sack helps to compress it nicely so it does not take up a great deal of space in your pack. Also, I have camped in 40 degree weather with it and it kept me toasty. | |

I am a tall guy...and skinny... but this bagk is def. made for a small small person.. Has great length but just not enough wiggle room. To each their own. | |

This is actually a very nice bag and the description is fairly accurate. I think it weight just a bit more than the claimed weight but not excessively so. I bought it thinking I'm a strong guy and one extra pound in my backpack isn't a huge deal (I'd rather have good sleep). Even so, this backpack is just too big for that purpose. Great for car/truck camping but there are many cheaper options if you're just going to keep it in your truck. | |
