These are good tri shoes. I used them for a sprint (bike and run) and they did ok but I would not use them for longer distance.

I ordered both the Delilah and this shoe by Altra, both a half size up from my usual athletic shoe size since many Altra reviews mentioned the shoes running small. The bigger size in Delila was perfect but in this it was a just tiny bit too big so my normal size might work better. The shoe was also very wide around the ankle and I couldn't get that part to fit no matter how tightly I cinched up the bungee. There's no way I could run in this shoe because it slipped just walking. The Delilah was more comfortable and a much better fit around the ankle. I didn't care for the rough textured insole in either shoe, especially since these are meant to be worn without socks. In the end, I sent them both back and ordered a second pair of Merrell Barefoot Pace because those are just more comfy and a little better looking. If you really want some Altras, go for the Delilah unless you have very large or wide ankles.
Sexy shoe, but no support. I ordered Altra shoes because I wanted a zero drop shoe but need arch support. A hard combination to find. The 3sum is generally comfortable, but did not have arch support. I was very sad to package them back up for return because they do look amazing. And like everyone else, 1/2 size up fit well.
