Altra Zero Drop Provision Reviews:

I was looking for shoes to replace the Nike Free Runs that I have been using for several years; I wanted something minimalist that would not absorb pebbles into the tread and was zero drop. I found and bought the Provision 1½ in October (from Zappos, of course). Now I have more 200 miles on them and they are perfect! I am 6'2" 235 pounds (47 years old) and run 25-35 miles a week on a packed dirt/gravel trail (in all weather). These shoes truly let your toes be free and are fantastic at facilitating weight distribution (on the forefoot where it should be), hence promoting proper technique. They have held up very well (no rips, minimal apparent tread wear) and dry quickly when wet. I use both insoles and find the support is just right for me. The color scheme is meh, logo is meh, but who cares, I am not looking to impress anyone when I am on the trail. Runners made these shoes and it shows!

The whole idea of this shoe is that it has no support. It does have a lot of cushion, so it isn't a minimalist shoe in that regard. I wanted a pair that had zero drop, no support, and cushioning, so this shoe is a dream. Also, I can only hope the foot-shaped last makes it to all shoes in the future. I can't express how much more comfortable it is having a shoe that lets the toes move without restriction on the sides. Love this shoe.

I have Morton's Neuralgia and need a lot of toe room to be comfortable. This brand is the only one I've found that makes running shoes with a wide toe box. They mimic the natural shape of the foot, which is exactly what I need. This gives me unprecedented comfort, allowing me to exercise freely for the first time since I've had this condition. Build quality seems fine - not beyond expectation, but doesn't seem cheap, either. I think I'll enjoy this shoe for a long time.

Bought these as a gift for my 30-something son. He loves them. We tried to go a half size up as I do for my shoes in this brand, but for him it was too big, so we ordered again in his normal shoe size.

Originally ordered size 13 my normal size but too small. The 14 is perfect. Almost everyone in the office wanted a pair so I sent in an order.
