This is a superb bag; every part is carefully thoroughly connected to hand-make a classy bag.Even the whip stitching is carefully completed. neither robots or children are making this bag. It takes an educated trade craftsman. About tooled leather: it can't be thick as a razor strap! think of the weight of thick leather! Tooled leather has survived from Spain since the days of HRH Isabella I- medieval times, and it is not thick! Care for the leather and even 2nd rate leather will endure.

The concept of the bag was beautiful; however, the execution was poor. For a bag this costly made from leather, it would never last - leather was very thin seams did not appear strong, it would never hold up to travel and carrying anything other than a wallet and a phone. Very disappointing.
