Economical alternative for T-top rod holders

These rod holders appear to good quality - welds are good, but finish is a bit inconsistent.
Using a 2" stainless u-bolt and a bit of modification to the mounting holes, I attached these to the roof of my Stryker T-top and they look great and will provide the extra rod storage I am looking for at a fraction of the cost of traditional alternatives. Another good purchase from the best outfitter in the world - Cabela's!

Built strong

You can buy cheap plastic rod racks and watch them fall apart and maybe loose some poles. I have a cruiser without much deck space and mounted this rod rack on the outside of the boat and gone through 5 foot waves and haven't lost a rod and after I'm set up it holds my net nicely. the Duke

Great Product

Well made, wrapped well, love the fact that they send SS nuts and bolts with it. Made a gasket for the back side so as not to scratch the fiberglass when installing it.

Average rod holder

I purchased the 6 rod holder 9-13. pros: This holder is very sturdy and functional. I found the individual tubes on my holder to be parallel and even. The welds were strong and good quality. cons: My holder was scratched and scuffed at various locations. All edges and glue joints required finishing with a dremel tool (aprox. 1.5 hours of detail work) to prevent marking or damaging the fishing rods to be held. At this price point this is a good purchase, it far surpasses a plastic holder and is about 1/3 the price of a high quality unit.
