One run on the Arbor Swoon Women's Snowboard and you'll be head over heels for it. With System rocker, a twin shape, and a medium flex, this all-mountain charger is in love with ripping down hardpack and lusts after bottomless powder.
System rocker uses several different design elements to provide true rocker performance while maintaining an incredible amount of edge hold and pop. It features a parabolic arc that is more rockered between the bindings and less rockered at the tip and tail to give it float in powder and a catch-free feeling on hardpack, while making turn initiation fluid and easy. The Grip Tech sidecut uses two additional contact points along each edge to allow for reliable edge hold on a rocker profile. A Power Ply sustainably-sourced wood topsheet replaces plastic to not only make it poppier, but more environmentally-friendly as well.
A triax-over-biax fiberglass lay-up gives it a responsive feel for greater precision and control in technical terrain, and an FSC-poplar core delivers lightweight return and durability without contributing to the destruction of rainforests. Rhythm sidewalls feature a blend of urethane and ABS to absorb vibrations for a smooth ride, and the sintered base absorbs wax well and resists damage from rocks and stumps hidden beneath the snow.

I used Burton boards from the beginning so it was hard for me to make a switch. My boyfriend tested a lot of boards last year and loved his Arbor the best so I decided to check out what they had for female riders. I went with the Swoon and I am so happy I did. It's still lightweight and turn initiations are a breeze for a more advanced board. As an east coast skier, probably the most important function for me is how it handles the ice and it handles it like a champ. I have no fear shredding down an icy face. Great on powder days, great on a nice groomed trail. Not quite as much speed as I was hoping for on straight aways but improved over what I was on. Totally happy with this board.
