Arc'teryx Sabre Full Bib Reviews:

Positive Reviews:

These are by far my favorite pants/bibs that I have ever skied in. The materials used are the best out there. The fit is good. the larges are large, and fit my legs and backside well, but have me swimming in the chest and waist area, but I prefer a baggy fit much more than my mom's old school style of ski pants. There are a few features taht I would like to see on these bibs: 1) The suspender straps need a better slide adjuster on them that actually stays in place. The store area for excess suspender strap is great, but the clasp.slider needs to hold better, while maintaining its ease of adjust-ability. 2) I would love it if there were a way to fold down zip down the bib front while touring. They can get warm. Other options from Arc'teryx offer a middle zip down (see Alph SV bib, Stinger bib, or Theta bib), but I wouldlove a U-shaped fold down that allows me to flip the whole front bib section of these open while keeping the suspenders in place. Other than those suggestions, these are my favs. Bomber material that breathes and isn't heavy. Styled well. Keprotec cuff on the inside of ankle is rad and durable.

I have about 20-25 days on snow with these bibs in orange this year. So far, they are the best bibs I have ever owned. They're lightweight, easy to get on and off, have a great range of motion and look great. I found the XL's to be a little big for me so I went down a size. I am 6'0'' and 210. The large leg zips are great for dumping heat on the way up the hill. Kevlar insteps are bulletproof.
Arc'teryx really got it right with these bibs.

The good:
The relaxed fit was very comfortable.
The material was durable.
At 6' 2" 210lbs the large fit perfectly.
The bad:
The shoulder strap system is inadequate to support the weight of the bibs throughout the day. They droop and require readjustment or you end up walking on them.
No full length pant zips.
Cuffs are a little baggy when booting.

I love how lightweight these are and how easy they are to put on. I'm 6'0 and 155lbs. A medium fits, but was a little bulky for my preference. The small fit great, with plenty of room, but just a slightly slimmer fit.

tptp1036525 at on 12/14/2013

Haven't used them yet, but the fit is nice. I'm 5'8" and 155 lbs and the small fits perfectly. Kepro-tec panels should be awesome to keep them cuffs from getting shredded.

Really functional pair of bibs - straps could have been better designed to stay up more.

Neutral Reviews:

I took a fall or two and slid some distance on ice this season. I was unhappy to find out this produced a small tear in my bibs on the left knee. The fabric around the right knee also appears scratched and looks weakened. For the price of this bib I found this very disappointing.
The adjustment on the suspenders is really very poor. They don't stay in place at all. As a result, the pants go too low to the ground, so my insteps are torn up despite the material there. I wore a medium and I normally wear 30" inseams.
Otherwise the bibs are really great.
