Keeps the wind out and warmth inside!
| Rating: | ![]() |
I am 158cm, 5,2" and weigh 52kg, 115lbs, I bought the size S jacket after using the fitting guide. After the purchase I went to a store and tried on the Teta shell jacket and the S size there was much too big for me and the XS would have been better. I could probably go down one size, but I rather have that extra air to keep me extra warm. The fitting is not very streamlined, but I really don't care about that when wearing this kind of gear. The hood fits perfect and keeps wind out with no problem, so it definitly puts and end to the cold air on the back problem. There are two big net pockets on the inside, keeps lots of things and with the size S I could fit a bigger compact camera in there without problem. I were mine both for outdoorskiing and walking and just when the weather is crappy. This is my first Goretex proshell jacket and I must say, it was worth all the money. I bought the black one, because I don't want to wash it at all if I can manage, since it will not wear down on the quality, if it smells I just put it outside for a night. I used the chat function when I bought it, because I wanted a jacket that covered my waist line and wanted it also to cover my hips and part of my bum. They said that it would , but I feel more that it ends past just or a little bit below the hip. It is really lightweight, easy to move in. I love it and this loveaffair will last a life time. I took one star away, because I just find it annoying that you pay pretty much for a premium jacket and when you look at the label it says "Made in China", it is just irritating.

Technical brilliance!
| Rating: | ![]() |
I am 5'8" and just under 130lbs and have found that the medium fits really well. The sleeves are excellent in length for my long arms and there is plenty of room inside the jacket for extra layers, though I find it so warm I don't usually need much! The fit is not nearly as streamlined as the photos make it look, in fact the jacket tends to make the stomach area look quite chubby. The basmati colour has a strong creamy/yellow tinge to it and a much darker grey lining inside than the colour enhanced photos on the website show, so keep this in mind when considering colour choice. Apart from my issues concerning the stylishness of the jacket's fit and the colour difference to that advertised, the technical features of this jacket are unbeatable! The perfectly contoured sleeves and their adequate length mean ease of movement in all endeavours; the helmet compatible hood adds that extra element of all-round usefulness for alpine pursuits, while it also adjusts to fit quite nicely when not using one; and the separate, mini-powderskirt draw cord in the hem locks out the snow and keeps in the warmth without affecting movement or clamping the whole jacket in. A recommended purchase!

nice jacket, but runs small
| Rating: | ![]() |
I am 5'6 120 lbs and the medium ran small once I got the Arc Teryx Delta midlayer on. It felt small in the arm pits and around the mid section...I usually wear a 6 in other clothes. I have ordered the large and am awaiting it's arrival. I think if you are in really cold weather and you need a mid layer, go a size up.

love it but runs small | |

I am 5'6 120 lbs and I found this jacket to be small. I ordered the medium and when I paired it with a smartwool base layer and the Arc Teryx Delta mid layer, it felt tight in the arm holes and the body. I'm certainly not big, so I'd go up a size. I am awaiting the large and we'll see.

The only jacket you'll ever need...if you can afford it

This jacket is so warm and comfortable. I wear it skiing the majority of the time and its so light it doesnt feel like I have a big bulky jacket on. Great for around town too. I'm a huge fan of Arc'teryx so call me biased. For sizing purposes, I'm 5'5" 130lbs and the medium fits me perfectly.

A Great Jacket | |

I bought this jacket as a gift for my girlfriend and she's worn it nearly nonstop- due to the Minnesota cold- and she hasn't lodged a single complaint against it yet. As the winter wears on, I'm sure she'll appreciate its high quality and durability even more.
