Voted Best Peakbagger- Backpacker Magazine's Gear of the Year Awards
Designed for speed and physical economy on the mountain, the Arc'teryx Khazri 55 Backpack is a lightweight alpine focused pack with room for the essentials, but leaves the superfluous features at home. How fast and light is up to you, with strippable V-frame suspension, removable aluminum stays, removable hipbelt with thermoformed hip pods, removable hip belt gear loops, removable dual density framesheet, and removable lid. Strip it all down, and it compresses for light forays, or a summit bid.
When it's time to pack up camp, compress your gear into a low-profile lead pack with the ARCTERYX Khazri 55 Backpack. Leave the superfluous features at home, and for ultra-light summit pushes or fast sprints, remove the suspension components and removable top lid. However you use it, the Kazri moves as quickly as its namesake wind.
The Arc'teryx Khazri 55 Backpack holds enough gear for a multi-day alpine ascent, and it strips down to nothing more than a sack with straps for fast-and-light single-push climbs. Adding only the necessary features, Arc'teryx used dual aluminum stays for increased support and a free-floating lid to let you really overload this bag. Of course, the Kharzi 55 Backpack's stays, back-panel, and lid can all be removed to shed ounces. You can even use the removable foam pad at an unexpected bivy. *Only available for US shipment.

I find that on most packs I don't use even half of all the little features crafted into them. If you are like me, get this pack and save yourself the time and effort of cutting off all the vestigial straps, pockets, etc. on others. The simplicity of the Khazri is a huge plus to me, and it makes mountaineering more enjoyable.

"A real climbing sac!" | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| The Kharzi 55 and 35 are two of the best climbing packs I have seen lately. Same basic lay outs with either 40L in the K35 or 50 L in the K55. Where do they get these names anyway? Well thought out...more like a Cilo or a Wild Things design but some details that are better than either. I got an amazing fit on mine because they offer the 35 in 3 different sizes. If you are looking for a real climbing sac you'll want to try these guys on. It is sweet! | |

Quality Backpack | |

I use a bicycle as my exclusive transport. That being so, this Khazri 55 backpack does a great job transporting heavy loads such as cat liter and cases of soda. I can carry home 45+ lbs. with no problem. The back pack fits great. Initially, I was hesitant to pay so much for a backpack but Arc'teryx is well worth the money.

Very nice! | |

Very light, stripped down, and well made pack! The suspension is very comfortable without being overly bulky or heavy. The tall being a 60L has tons of room. I would have liked a few more features like a pouch for a hydration bladder and a side zipper. I may check out the Khamsin 55 since it has a few more features.

"awesome for alpine and weekends"

| i have this in the 35L and love it. not the most comfiest bag in the world, but if it fits good, it works good. nice and light for alpine, has the bare essentials. not too bad for weekend trips either. arcteryx has got some good stuff. if you're going mountaineering, i recommend this and the bora 80. good luck! | |

"Great Pack but has no water bottles."

| This is a great pack for the extreme! My only concern is there is no water bottle pockets. But for the most part it, it is great and light pack. | |

Nice pack, comfortable and light. Not as durable as I would like but maybe my old Dana bomb pack spoiled me. Nice simple comportable pack though.
