At 6'2", 200 lbs, the large fit me really well and has become the best harness I have ever owned. Whenever I have peeled off or taken a whipper, I havent noticed any unusual discomfort. It is somewhat pricey, but is designed very well and is super tough despite it looking and feeling rather thin and minimal. It works great for me and I would definitely recommend it. I didnt go 5 stars because of the fact that the leg loops and straps are unadjustable, but for me thats a small price to pay for how much i love the rest of it.
I fit in the small leg loops (with plenty of room to spare) and medium waist belt. There was no way to wear the harness without exchanging the swami belt and leg loops from two different sizes. The small waist belt was too tiny and the medium leg loops were huge.
Worst part was the the vice they created between your legs and the crushing of 'man parts'.
The leg loops are too wide on top and the sides were they come up from under your legs. This has two negatives...
When you high-step the harness cuts into the top of your leg/hip area and impedes movement. When you belay or take a fall prepare to have your junk crushed by wide leg loops scissoring your nuts.
I have worn arcteryx harnesses for years, ever since the Vapor. I was really bummed when I tried this one on, because they have changed the fit dramatically. I used to wear a Medium, with the waist cinched all the way down, and the leg loops fit parfect. Now I am swimming in the leg loops, and when I go down to the Small, it is too small. Not sure why they changed a product that everyone loved
Straight up sucks as the one star indicates. I bought this to replace my older R300 harness. I don't know what Arc'teryx did with the fit but it does suck. It's unfortunate as I am a big fan of Arc'Teryx. I would agree with car4297256's review. Also, I would like to point out, being a guy, "your boys" are smashed by this harness. The harness totaly rides up, NOT pleasant!
I love this harness for sport climbing, especially multi-pitch routes where I bring a bit more gear. Once it's loaded up with my trad rack, the waist belt starts seriously digging into my hips. I've been sucking it up and using it, but I'm going to be picking up another harness soon.
