Head out for a day in the cold with the natural warmth of the Merino wool Rho LTW Bottoms from ARCTERYX. You'll stay dry and odor-free with Merino wool fabric that naturally wicks away moisture, resists microbial growth, and simply refuses to be itchy. Specifications based on size Medium.

Fine Merino wool makes the Arc'teryx Rho LTW Bottom soft against your skin and has a natural ability to move moisture away from your body. The Rho LTW Bottom retains its warmth even when wet should you happen to step in a river while trekking back to camp. Lycra adds performance shaping to the Arc'teryx Rho. A laminated thigh pocket is a great place to store a key, so you don't lock it in the car when you switch jackets. The Merino sheep live outside in New Zealand all year and you never hear them complain about being cold. *Available for US shipment only.

The Arc'teryx Rho LTW Bottoms are made from fine merino wool, which provides all natural insulation, moisture management and odor protection. The Rho LTW Bottoms are itch-free and stretch woven for maximum comfort during prolonged use. Wool's natural ability to keep you warm when wet makes these bottoms ideal for winter backcountry use. These tights also feature some nylon to ensure they retain their shape, regardless how many days you wear them between washings.

The ideal baselayer for any cool weather activity, the Arcteryx Rho LTW Bottom for Men is constructed with soft, itchless, stretch knit merino wool, insulating even when completely saturated, regulates temperature far better than a synthetic baselayer, and resists odor, even on a week long backcountry trip.

The Men's Rho LTW Bottom by Arcteryx have Fine Merino Wool fibres which supply a comfortable next to skin feel, while added lycra holds athletic shaping for prolonged performance wicking.

Quality Merino Wool Underwear
| Rating: | ![]() |
These undies are great. They wick well and it takes a lot to make them stinky. I am a 34" waist and a large is a tad bit big on me but I prefer my base layer to be tight fitting. If you don't mind a baggier base layer then go with your usual sizing. The pocket on the thigh is pretty useless... When are you ever going to store something under all of your other layers? It would be a massive pain to actually get to if you needed to. Only bills and coins really fit in it. I'm convinced the pocket's main purposes are to provide a spot for Arc'teryx to slap on their logo and make the garment stand out from other wool underwear lacking such a pocket.

Great running tight-a little long in the leg

| I have to have wool, merino wool, to be at one with the world. That being said, these tights keep me warm and the wind off. As with other reviews, the lengthn is about 2"-3" too long. I'm 5'11" tall, 235 lbs. I have to roll the bottom of the tights up about 3" to make them work. All in all, I would not change the construction. I use the leg pocket to keep an ID tag for emergencies. I have tested them as low as 15 degrees and they feel great. I plan on wearing them alone for winter jogging and cross country skiing. Since they were on sale, I couldn't justify not buying them. | |

Can't beat wool! | |

Being from Australia and having a kiwi wife makes us big fans of Icebreaker and between us we have about 20 pieces. This time we thought we´d try Acrteryx Merino and we were pleasently surprised. The build quality is typically Arcteryx, second to none and these tights seem a little thicker than my icebreakers. We both stayed warm in Denali's backcountry in mid September. The tops run a little small so DEFINATELY go a size up in tops.

I own two pairs of these... they fit me perfectly (I generally find that Arcteryx products fit me better that most of the other major manufacturers). I wear them under soft shell pants while b/c skiing in the Canadian Rockies from fall through spring. They regulate my body temperature very well and the merino wool is great for the no stink factor on multi day trips. I have two years of use from the first pair and no signs of wear.

| I uses these when I train outside on cold days. Like the above reviewer said, they are just a little long, though I have that problem with most pants, (I'm 5' 9" wearing the mediums) so I don't consider it to be a problem, they're tights so it's not like they drag on the floor or anything. All in all I'm very happy with this purchase, I bought an additional 2 pair, that's how much I like 'em! | |

I really like these. They aren't bulky. They keep me warm, but not too.

I use these for ice climbing and any snow riding. They are super warm and incredibly comfortable. I should have gotten the boot length, but they still work perfectly. The side pocket is perfect for a key like Arcteryx suggests, but i throw my clif shot in there so it doesn't get to cold and frozen. Super accessible with any side vent ski pant.

| I am very happy with this purchase. I'm tall, with a long inseam 35 and these were long enough for me. The itchiness factor improves with washings. I was skeptical about wool underwear but the positive reviews I've read everywhere convinced me to make the leap. No stink, breathable, and warm. If you are wool sensitivie, however, you will notice them. | |

Maximum warmth from a minimal base layer.

| The Rho LTW fabric exceeded my expectations for both warmth and wind protection. I own a regular pair of Arcteryx Rho bottoms and the bulk to efficiency ratio can't compare to the Merino LTW Rho. At 6'3", 225lbs and a 36" waist the length was just right on the Large. Excellent buy. I'm now looking for the boot cut length. | |

Near perfect! | |

Got one pair this winter. They are soft and fits very well, medium, and I am 5'11, 180 lbs, 33 waist. However, they are LONG, 2-3 inches too long, but far from that they are great. Also got their LTW Shirt, but took size large, don't like when it is to tight. Fits great. Not as soft as the bottoms.

Sigh, I think the good people at Arc'Teryx made these bottoms for the starting lineup of the Vancouver Grizzlies. They arrived way too long, even in size small. I had to return them for the Rho Bootcut pair, and even those reach all the way to my ankles. I am fired up about the Rho bottoms though, wool is def the best way to go for insulation.

Odd sizing | |

Very nicely detailed - like all of Arc'teryx products - but let down by a very odd cut. The legs are extraordinarily long relative to the waist.
