I use both a crossbow and compound and as should be known the "composite" arrows are easily damaged or ruined if not removed carefully. The crossbow would bury the arrow in the target block leaving only about 2" to grip for removing it. This item was not effective for these and a "pliers" style was purchased for them. However if there is enough room to grab the shaft and get your hand on this grip it removed the arrows from the compound bow that didn't penetrate as far with ease, no damage so far and easily stores in the case without worry of damage to it or the arrows and bow. Only used with target practice and field points.
not the best product out there. youve got to get it on the arrow just right to grip it, and mine still slides some then. ultimately it does what its supposed to do, but it didnt perform quite as well as i thought it would.
