I have tried many gloves on the site and I have to say usually I am dissapointed with the Gore-Tex, I end up with wet hands, pleasantly surprised with this glove. I really only use it to ice climb. I tend to have really cold hands so I generally ski in a trigger/ lobster mitt but, they do not provide enough dexterity. I am usually a medium and got these in a large, they have a little space in them which allows me to keep some heat. For a reference I am a size 9 in Hestra's. They are not the warmest gloves I own but, I dont think gloves are warm in general. From now on I will keep my Alti Mitts on my chest when climbing, belay with the Alti Mitts, then I will pull out these bad-boys to actually climb with, switch at the belay. Overall 4 stars, I couldnt give it 5 because I always wish there was more Thinsulate.
I can't believe how warm these are. Im not going to lie when I first got these i was skeptical if they would/could keep my hands warm and dry. So i tested em out. One of the first times i took them out i went snowmobiling at night in temperatures as low as 5 degrees and they kept my hands incredibly warm and dry. My girlfriend actually tried them (who never has warm hands) and was surprised at how warm they were and now wants a pair.
They run a little small and feel tight when you first put them on but once they are broken in they fit really well and you are able to keep a good deal of dexterity despite the insulation and warmth.
Slipping these little babies on for the first time was akin to trying on a nice cotton shirt fresh out of the dryer. Very warm and pretty tight. Definitely run small so I advise you to buy a size up. Insides are so soft you'll swear chinchilla hairs were hand picked for their fluffiness. Even after taking them off to tweet my new glove clad selfie, once my hands were wedged back inside (maybe that's where they get the name?) they warmed up again almost immediately. Only issue I had is a burst seam about 2 hours into wearing them, but I'm counting on the warranty to help out with that. Seriously wicked gloves. Grey Camo ftw.
I have been using these gloves all season and they have worked out great for me, they are very warm and comfortable. They are not to bulky either. I am usually between large and X large, I got the XL and they fit perfect so if your in between like me i would defiantly go larger. They are also pretty breathable, I am used to having a soaked glove just because of my hand sweating but these gloves did pretty well with breathing and pulling the sweat from my hand. I would defiantly recommend them to anybody looking into buying a new pair of gloves
I picked up a pair of these gloves in a Large and immediately gave them to my wife! They are sweet gloves, but I would need an XL size for sure. I could squeeze into them but the comfort completely disappeared after a few minutes.
On the plus side, my wife loves them and they fit her perfectly. They are super comfortable, they look great and stay on your hands even when you tumble.
The wrist loop keeps these in place and is low profile enough to not get in the way. Awesome gloves, but I recommend sizing up!
Best way to describe this, it just fits, First glove I have had in a while with this warmth and comfort great fit and great looking glove, not to mention the gore-tex membrane I kept my had in water for half hour to see what would happen. Glad to say my hand was dry and just as warm as when put them on. Stoked on getting these battle hardened this season!!!
I haven't had a chance to take this out in the snow yet, but first impression is... wow! The micro bemberg lining is really, really soft. I'm also loving the removable leases with the wrist straps, definitely a cool feature. I have a medium in the Grey Camo, and I fall right into the size chart range of 3.3" to 3.7"
Stoked to get these out into the snow!
I rarely have a problem fitting into a medium of anything but these gloves are a bit tight. Nevertheless, they still work great and are sweet gloves. Thinsulation is super thing and the goretex is another added bonus. I'd suggest a size bigger for most people.
So my hands get cold so easy, and these gloves keep them really warm actually, and my favorite part about them, they aren't all bulky. They have smaller finger slots which is nice for me cuz i have small fingers. I love them.
These gloves have worked great for me so far. I am typically a women's large and a men's medium and the medium fits well! Had them up at Snowbird and my hands stayed nice and warm with a wind chill of -24!
I may be the only person with this issue, but I have had issue with velcro cuffs in the past where some part of the cuff causes abraision through out a long day. The Armada Wedge was the answer to my prayers. A comfortable cuff with a cozy micro lining. I have to agree though with the other reviewers here that these glove definitely run small. The Armada Duffy JP Signature for example in a medium is a better fit for me than the Armada Wedge in a large.
This is a good midweight or park glove, wouldn't count on it for frigid days but it's great for the slightly cold days. Solid construction looks like it will last.
Only thing I found is that it is a little too short in the "V" and long in the fingers, which causes you to get a little bit of a pinch between the fingers but too long in the ends.
Overall good glove.
Don't just assume your hands will fit based on other gloves you've owned. These seem to run small. Go off of the size chart and you should be all good!
