Great Next Generation

I have been running in the 2100 series for 4 years and have worn out 7 pairs. The new generation of the 2100 series are great and I have noticed little difference aside from better breathability and a little better heal support. The cushion is good but not overwhelming. I primarily use these for marathon training and they are just as comfortable after mile 16 as they were on the first ones. For solid, steady running, these shoes are a great choice.

Superb show

Best part about this shoe is the width options. I am a 10 wide, but the 2E was still too narrow so I went with the widest at 4E and it felt like my feet were finally free. So comfortable I want to wear them all the time, and I would, except I love my hiking boots even more for that. I will never go back to a shoe that does not offer a wide enough option. Very stable.

great shoes

I was looking for a shoe for summer walking on the paved bike paths along the river. I wanted something with a lot of cushion so my feet don't hurt on the pavement. Theys are great, light weight and cool.

Maybe their name will prove otherwise

I run competitive obstacles courses like the Tough Mudder, Spartan Race, Warrior Dash, etc. At 5'7, I hardly describe myself as a "runner" more like someone who "covers a distance."

I've had these now going on a month and only have used them in the gym since Wisconsin still has snow on the ground and the roads are pretty slick.

I put them through a break in period and have been using them while I go through my lift routine and on the treadmill.

The traction seems good and they provide good stability while I do my gym's "sweat fest" aerobic classes.

However, where these fail me is on the treadmill. Tightening or loosening laces, inserts, different thickness of socks nothing I do seems to make these comfortable for a run of even a few miles.

The shoes are light compared to the Brooks they replaced and they definitely seem to wrap my feet more like a minimalist shoe; but the balls of my feet can't take them long distance.

Maybe they would perform better on the road but for the treadmill look elsewhere.
