Asics Rhythmic 2 SB Reviews:

Positive Reviews:

Great for Zumba, which is why I bought them. Not super-padded, so I can't use them for walking or running. But they pivot well and keep me from wrenching my joints during Zumba! FYI I ordered a half-size up, but I always do for exercise shoes.

Negative Reviews:

I'm a huge Asics fan, so I tried these for my latest hobby, Zumba. I was worried they wouldn't be supportive enough, and I was right. They are like slippers. I need a solid, supportive shoe for this high-impact activity and these aren't them. The pivot isn't as good as Ryka's, either, stickier. They are good looking. I've seen people do Zumba barefoot. I can't understand that at all. If that's you, or if you can get away with very low or no support, then you might like these.

Neutral Reviews:

Meh. I was really hoping these shoes would do the trick for when I take Zumba classes (3-4 times a week). There is not much arch support, I had to put in a gel insert. I've yet to find the sweet spot between tying the laces too loosely or too tight where my feet fall asleep. The shoes are just OK, I tend to underpronate when I work out so I don't think these were right for me.

As with the Ryka of the same name, this is not a true dance shoe. From the photos, it appears to be, but the entire sole is too sticky for dancing. It is an attractive shoe, and might be a good general aerobic shoe, but try dancing in it and feel your knees scream!

Though I do like doing Zumba in these over my regular ASICS, they are not cushioned so it is important to add cushioning with insoles and socks.
