I first purchased these in the bright pink. I wasn't happy with them because it was as though I had a real wide foot (I'm a Medium width) and the shoe strings were barely long enough to tie. And they didn't look right because they didn't lace up correctly. So I went to a local shoe store which had this black version. I tried on a size which was 1/2 size smaller in length and strangely enough the shoe strings were not nearly as short as on the pink ones. I'm glad I got to see these in person! I love the black and the other bright colors -- they will match any clothing; and will look good in winter. I also wear Cumulus but these Blur 33's are just as comfortable and supportive. I'm a walker not runner. But I have a friend, who runs 3 miles a day and she purchased these Blur 33's. She got them in hot pink and said she loved them because there was plenty of "toe room". I will forever wear Asics and I will always buy them from Zappos because of their generous return policy and their prices. These black Blurs are less expensive than in a shoe store.
I have to write a LONG fan letter to Asics. I was a hard-to-fit size 13 and then broke both of my feet, leaving them a size 13.5-14. I have always been forced to wear men's shoes (and those awful colors) which is hugely embarrassing to me. So when I saw these and they had size 13, I had to try them on. With free shipping both ways, it wasn't too much of a risk. To my ABSOLUTE DELIGHT not only do they fit (so they are about half a size larger than marked, at least when you get the bigger size), but they are comfortable and the most amazing pink ever. I love these shoes and I seriously need 10 more pairs so I always have backup. I read a lot of reviews on this site and others that said they run small and the shoelaces are too short. That may be true in the smaller sizes, but if you are a lady with big feet, go ahead and give these a try.
I purchased these shoes simply for the look as I am a 4 time walker in the Susan G. Komen 3-day, 60 mile walk and these look the part! They are really comfortable to walk long distances in, and I get tons of compliments every time I wear them; however, if you have a high arch like myself, they were not sufficient to run in. Overall, this is an awesome shoe and I would recommend to anyone!
Bought these sneakers for my 21 year old daughter about a month ago. She runs 4-5 times a week and says that they are the most comfortable sneakers she has ever worn! Sounds like a positive endorsement to me. Plus, the colors are very cool.
These are awesome shoes! They are great for running long distances and provide nice arch support!
