These are the best walking shoes that I have ever had. I am very particular about my shoes as I have lower back problems at age 62. I have had several pairs of Spira shoes that wear out quickly and customer service is junk. They do not stand behind their shoes. Asics gel 2 has excellent cushioning which is critical for me walking on pavement. The leather is high quality combined with some mesh for breathing, although they are still warm which is great during the colder months. I do not see how anyone can be disappointed with these shoes. Again footbed cushioning is my main concern and these shoes provide it. The arch is noticeable and offer just enough support. I do wish the tounge was a little longer but other than that I am tickled that I finally found these shoes.
I order these in a size 11 but they were too small (my fault actually). Zappos return was easy and they are great as usual about returns. My biggest problem with this shoe is that Asics doesn't make an 11.5 in it. what is the deal with that! Asics could probably make more money if they did.
Very nice quality. Good fit. I use to buy shoes based on price and style. After 3 trips to a foot specialist with Achilles tendon issues, I've learned my lesson. I now buy what the Doc recommends. Love the Zappos videos and the perfect service.
ASICS GEL walker 2's are the greatest. I wear them daily at work, and walk as much as I can at breaks. I cruise around the building as part of my job and my feet rarely tire.
Great shoes! Looks like they will hold up as well as more expensive "orthopedic" shoes at a better price.
