| Changed over from the Foundation to the GT-2130. I had been searching tirelessly (well, okay, sometimes I was tired) for a BLACK (or at least DARK) Asic in a style that would work for my ample frame and pronation tendency, and finally, as if Metatarsus the Great Shoe God finally heard my prayers, the Asics folks came out with a BLACK GT-2130. In women's. In an 8.5. Oh my word. I'd been wearing Gel-Foundations for years, and also the Gel-Fortitude, and I'd HEARD that the GT-2130 was a fine alternative to those, but I hadn't given it a shot, as I was skeptical and very monogamous with my existing Asics relationships. But I am here to testify that word on the street was right -- the GT-2130 IS totally in that same stability/motion-control family, and I LOVE these shoes. The sole is a LITTLE stiff and klunky, but it's loosening up, and the tongue of the shoe is very poofy and prominent (I could use less tongue), and I'm aware of how wide the shoe is, and that I still need to futz with the laces to get the shoe the exact degree of tightness and looseness in various spots that I want it...but other than those minor complaints, this sneaker is really supportive, cushy and shock-absorbent. I took a 90-minute indoor/outdoor walk in them yesterday and could have kept going, easily. I hope to wear these for a long time to come. |

| I’ve now worn these shoes almost every day for several months and can say officially that I love them. I am not a runner, but I walk at least 4-7 miles a day - I live in the city and commute on foot pretty much everywhere - and these shoes are incredibly comfortable and WAY better looking than the pictures would indicate, too! I have used them for walking long distances and running on exercise equipment in the gym, and the only problem I’ve had is that they make my feet hurt when I’m running on a treadmill. But not when I’m running “in real life” on the street, and not when I’m walking for hours at a time so I don’t know why that is. Bottom line: they’re really comfortable and they hold up well over distance. I couldn’t be happier. |

| Amazing, stylish running shoe - This is my third pair of ASICS GT-2130's and they are consistently comfortable as well as stylish. I have tried the new 2140 model, and they felt very similar but my heart (as well as my feet) will always be true to the 2130. Right out of the box I took them for a 4 mile, hilly run and they felt great. No blisters or discomfort at all. I cannot say enough about Zappos' amazing customer service. I don't care who else sells what I'm looking for, if Zappos has it, I will buy it from them! I ordered my shoes on Monday (a holiday no less) at 3 p.m. PST, and they arrived at noon the next day. There is absolutely no place else that compares to Zappos! |

| 2nd time purchase - I bought the last model of same shoe (2120) and it worked well for me. These feel great too, maybe a little better. I wear a big orthotic and it fits into these just fine. The liner is not glued so it doesn't tear the shoe up to remove. I run about 10 - 15 miles per week and they last. I bought the wide. I say no arch support because I am a foot and ankle specialist (physical therapy) and as I said I remove the liner, which is just a thin bit of nothing. This is a pronation control shoe. |

| AWESOME RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX! I’ve recently started a workout program and my other sneakers were killing my feet. Last night my right foot was extremely painful, so I went online and bought these just before bed. This afternoon the UPS driver delivered them! I took them out of the box and within two hours, I was at the gym for over an hour of cardio, and I can’t believe how comfortable they are! They offer good support and cushioning! I would recommend for light running or walking!!! I love these shoes and Zappos for SUPERB service!!! |

| Other Saucony shoes are better - Saucony is my running shoe of choice. I purchased this shoe mostly because of the color, since there are not many black running shoes. However, after using the shoe for about 5 months, I have developed foot/arch, knee, and back pain (mostly knee pain) in a way I have never known before. Luckily, Zappos has been extremely helpful with the return, and now I am going to try the Saucony Xodus. I HIGHLY recommend Saucony, just not this shoe, especially if you plan on running. |

| Asics fits my feet - Not all running shoes are built for the same feet. One needs to know his/her feet well to choose the right running shoes. Asics Gel-2130 is built for moderate over-pronators who require moderate arch support (not for flat footed runners). Gel-2130 fits me perfectly when I run. Your feet will bloat from running therefore always buy a 1/2 size larger. Also recommending double layered running socks to prevent blistering. |

A little disappointed... I am a huge ASICS fan and have always chosen them as my favorite workout shoe. However I was a little disappointed that there was minimal cushion and support on the inside--not at all what I'm used to in an ASICS shoe. It's like they put all of their efforts on the external design of the shoe (very cool!) and forgot about the inside. For the price, I expect much more!

| Perfect trainer - After slight shin pain from a cheaper trainer and just starting a 9 week 1/2 marathon training on the treadmill - ran with these right out the box - no blisters, no shin pain and fit perfect. I ordered 1/2 size bigger, wide width in black - very cool. My first pair Asics and in black, will definitely order again. Zappos has the BEST service - keeps me coming back. |

| Not quite it. The 2130 was my almost choice for a running shoe. Loved the fact that I ordered it in black. I tried it against my top 4 choices from 8. It almost made it, but the footbed was not quite right for my foot. Great comfort, great arch support, great stability. I would highly recommend trying this shoe before making a decision based on my review. |
