Astral Buoyancy GreenJacket Life Vest Reviews:

Been putting off purchasing a new jacket for two years with hopes that Astral would put out a jacket that was not a waist-hugger. I almost had a tear when I saw it under the tree. After several runs in both play and creek situations I have found that it has an ideal balance of what you need and what you don't want. Well positioned straps with low friction, movement with your body, a flack jacket sense of security, and ample pockets. I love the ability to carry more at quick access in the front pouch. The single snap and Velcro is backed by a hard piece of plastic that has a solid flip feature (think those stupid collared shirt strips that keep them straight.) Bottom line, try to get into a shop and try it on before any other 2009 purchase, or just go ahead and buy it!

As a beginner working my way to intermediate, I decided it was time for a rescue vest. There aren't many choices for women. The Greenjacket looks good and allows a large range of motion. Needs a sports bra underneath for support. Also, the shoulders are cut out, which looks good, but doesn't offer max protection against rocks (which unfortunately I'm still encountering). All in all, a good vest.

Absolutely incredible PFD, i use it for both freestyle and creek boating and it performs exceptionally in both, I highly recommend it. However it is a bit pricey
