Atlas Elektra 12 Series Snowshoe -

The Atlas Women's Elektra 12 Series Snowshoe comes with the most advanced technology and toughest and lightest materials that Atlas has in its deep bag of goodies. Designed just for women, it features outside rolling bends, a narrower waist and a tapered tail that work best with your natural stance and gait, while carefully placed straps and padding eliminate pressure points that inhibit circulation.

This is Atlas' most aggressive Women's 12-series binding yet. With a lightweight Speed-V frame that maximizes flotation while it minimizes deck interference, the 12-Series Snowshoe is designed to give you total mobility, even when it gets deep and the terrain gets extra-rugged. The turned-up tail provides a more-natural feel as you move. Atlas' new Wrapp Pro binding provides comfort and easy entry. The Duratek decking is extremely tough and lightweight, and it sheds snow so you aren't carrying pounds of backcountry along with you. The tenacious stainless steel Zodiac toe crampon digs in when the going gets tough so you can access terrain that would have never thought possible.

Frame:

  • Women's specific ReacTiV™ 7075 Aluminum frame is shaped to accommodate the biomechanical differences of a woman's natural gait, with tapered tails, a narrower nose and outside rolling bends that nest the snowshoes together comfortably.
  • A proprietary Atlas shape, the sturdy aluminum V-Frames track straight in deep snow, and the tapered tail pulls less snow as you step forward, saving your energy. The turned-up tail of the V-frame rolls easily into each step for a natural gait.

Weather and Wind:

  • Stainless steel Zodiac toe crampon deeply penetrates even the firmest snow

Traction and Grip:

  • Weight-activated, StabiLock Rear Traction
  • Stainless steel Holey-I toe crampon and stainless steel Advanced Aft traction provides a secure grip ascending , descending or traversing.

Suspension:

  • Spring-Loaded Suspension (SLS) patented design suspends the snowshoe close underfoot so it can move freely with its intended articulation, absorbing impact, flexing naturally side-to-side, and allowing deeper crampon penetration into the slope.

Straps:

  • Wrapp Pro Binding features FlowTape silicone straps that glide through low-friction buckles and smooth buckle release for easy on-off use.

Features:

  • Heel lift bar makes ascents much easier.
  • Rugged Duratek decking

Designed for women from the start, the Atlas Elektra 12 Series snowshoes benefit from Atlas' leading research into women's biomechanics. The 7075 ReactiV aluminum frame is specially shaped with outside rolling bends to create a narrower waist and tapered tail that allow a woman's natural stride. The padded Wrapp Pro binding eliminates pressure points to keep your circulation moving and your extremities warm, and FlowTape Silicone straps glide easily through the buckles, even with mittens on. Spring-Loaded Suspension gives the stainless steel prongs and rails of the toe and heel crampons even deeper penetration. The Duratek decking keeps the weight down, and the climbing bar will let you charge to the summit with ease.

Oregon Mountain Community
Big and buoyant, the Atlas Elektra 12 Series Snowshoes are designed for women who want the steeper and deeper. But that doesn't mean these mountain hikers are heavy. At less than 5 lbs the 7075 aluminum frame keeps the weight down. The Zodiac toe crampons provide a reliable purchase on icy patches and wind slabs.
