Atlas 927 Elektra Snowshoes - Perfect for ladies looking to make winter a little more interesting, the Atlas Women's Elektra Snowshoe Kits include Elektra 9 Series snowshoes (perfect for gentle or rolling terrain), LockJaw 2 poles (for when the trail gets a bit spicy), and a convenient tote to carry it all.

Country of Origin: Imported

Frame:

  • Women-specific, V-shaped frames are made from sturdy 6061 aluminum and are designed to facilitate a woman's natural stride
  • 6061 aluminum V-Frame is both lightweight and durable

Weather and Wind:

  • The result of the design is that freedom of movement is increased, the toe crampon can bite into snow better and the foot is allowed a more natural rotation
  • Proprietary V-shape tracks straight in deep snow, saves energy by pulling less snow as you step forward, and allows you to walk with a more natural gait

Zippers:

  • Zippered snowshoe tote keeps everything together for easy storage and transport

Comfort:

  • FRS absorbs impact and lets your foot flex naturally side-to-side for a comfortable, stable position on traverses and uneven terrain

Fit:

  • Elektra design features frames shaped to better accommodate a woman’s gait, and bindings built to better fit women’s boots
  • Wrapp™ Trail bindings use a continuous webbing design that tightens snugly with a single pull; bindings also cradle feet and arches for a secure, comfortable fit

Fabric:

  • Abrasion-resistant, lightweight Nytex™ nylon decks stay flexible when cold and stand up to the elements for lasting use

Traction and Grip:

  • Tempered steel All-Trac toe crampon and tri-cleat provide traction in all directions for confident footing on rolling terrain
  • Steel toe crampons supply sure-footed traction on icy and snowy terrain; heel crampons increase traction while traversing and descending

Manufactured:

  • ~ Made from lightweight 6000 series aluminum (1 lb. 4 oz./pair)

Suspension:

  • Patent-pending Free-Rotating Suspension (FRS) design allows your foot to move freely with minimal resistance
  • Free-Rotating™ Suspension lets the binding rotate much farther forward than previous Atlas designs, freeing up the stride and reducing the amount of tail flip

Features:

  • Nose and tail shapes are optimized to provide a balanced platform for stable footing and facilitate an easy, natural stride
  • Recommended load specification for the Atlas Elektra 927 snowshoes includes weight of hiker with gear
  • ~ Steel tips ensure secure pole placement
  • LockJaw 2 adjustable poles help maintain stability on uneven terrain
  • ~ Patent-pending LockJaw mechanism is easy to adjust, even when wearing gloves

Atlas 927 Elektra Snowshoes Review:

Reviews:

wonderful product!

This is my second pair of snowshoes, and I highly recommend these as a beginner or pair for an intermediate snowshoer! my first pair were flimsy, but this pair had a much more sturdy construction and better design. They were fairly easy to put on and take off. The 23 inches were better as far as weight distribution as well (my first pair were 21 inches... I weight 130 pounds to give you an idea). I really loved the FRS or free rotation suspension, they moved MUCH better than the original pair I owned. They were much more ergonomic and moved naturally with my foot. the snowshoe moved freely from my heel yet attached to the toe area of my foot, a very good and smart design. a very good pair of snowshoes for the price!
