Atlas Run Snowshoe -

Getting outside and exercising in the cold days of winter isn't easy, but if the alternative is eating a box of donuts and huddling on the couch for a whole season, it would appear to be worth the effort. The all-new Atlas Run snowshoes are designed to help you keep moving when snow and ice cover your local trails, with a feature set that delivers powerful energy return, natural articulation, and an uncompromised running stride. The LightSpeed binding offers a secure fit in a lightweight design, while Atlas' signature Spring-Loaded Suspension keeps the snowshow close underfoot for easy maneuvering.

Support and Cushioning:

  • Recommended load specification includes weight of runner with gear; the Atlas Run snowshoes can support up to 220 lbs. on packed trails

Frame:

  • The lightweight 7075 aluminum speed V-frame is designed to accommodate a runner's all-out stride
  • Atlas V-frame creates an efficient, natural stride
  • Tough frames made from 6061 aluminum offer a stiff, lightweight chassis; frame shape is optimized to reduce frame clipping, ensure straight tracking and maintain flotation

Insulation:

  • The Run LightSpeed bindings provide precise foot placements while keeping overall weight down

Weather and Wind:

  • Durable Nytex decking stands up to tough trails and efficiently sheds snow

Comfort:

  • Bindings wrap under the arch and ball of each foot for comfort and security

Fabric:

  • Lightweight Nytex™ nylon decks are abrasion-resistant and stay flexible when cold and stand up to the elements for lasting use

Fit:

  • 1-pull LightSpeed bindings cinch tight with a quick tug, supplying a snug, supportive fit that's lightweight and flexible; heel straps secure feet further

Webbing:

  • One-pull cross webbing cinches quickly
  • Spring-Loaded™ Suspension (SLS) uses offset webbing straps to create a springy platform beneath the foot that absorbs impact and allows natural side-to-side foot flex

Traction and Grip:

  • Lightweight aluminum toe and heel crampons provide traction without drag while running uphill, downhill, and on flats
  • Aluminum instep crampons bite into snowy terrain with a front row of teeth and 2 side teeth to minimize twisting; aluminum heel crampons maximize downhill traction
  • Aluminum Twin-Trac Toe Crampons and Heel Cleats provide secure traction on icy terrain

Suspension:

  • Spring-Loaded™ Suspension (SLS) keeps the snowshoe close underfoot for easy maneuvering and suspends your foot so it can move freely with its intended articulation
  • Spring-Loaded Suspension provides high-energy returns and excellent maneuverability
  • Spring-Loaded Suspension keeps tail from catching on obstacles and matches your foot's articulation

Features:

  • The Run Snowshoes weigh in at just over a pound each, so you hardly even notice you're wearing them
  • Durable Nytex decking withstands the constant abuse of winter
  • Twin-Trac™ toe crampons use a sturdy row of front points and two side teeth to keep your foot from twisting

So far so good

Seem more durable than earlier model - time will tell. Bindings easy and quick to fasten and comfortable on waterproof trail shoe. They sink pretty deep in soft loose snow - not had packed snow yet to try them in.
