Attwood Lp Fuel-Tank Accessories Review:

USC set; FDV

I recently purchased the Attwood 6 gal. fuel tank and the USC set & FDV.The Universal Sprayless Connector(USC) set and the Fuel Demand Valve(FDV) are essential when using Attwood Portable Fuel Tanks or for that matter, any brand of tank that meets the new EPA/CARB approved(2010 & later). These new tanks are unvented and build up pressure. The caps have a oneway valve that lets air in so fuel can be drawn to the engine but won't let fuel vapors & built up pressure out.The USC set installs on the tank end of the fuel hose and the fuel outlet on the tank that way you can disconnect the fuel line without getting sprayed. The FDV installs in the fuel hose between the tank and primer bulb. This prevents pressurized fuel from reaching the engine when not running and flooding the fuel system.I highly suggest(like I did) going to the Attwood Marine website. They give the whole lowdown on these new pressurized fuel systems.I highly recommend the Attwood fuel tanks and accessories.Quality made stuff.
