With all the rain in NEw ...

With all the rain in NEw England this summer I am glad I purchaswed this item. I kept it in my inflatable and used it every weekend, I only had to change the batteries once and that was only because I did not want to get stuck with a boat full of water and dead bateries. The speed at which it pumped was incredable for such a small unit. It was a great addition to my equipment, I also know others used it when I was not there.

Excellent Product!

I used this pump to empty the bilge on my boat after my primary bilge pump failed and we had several days of heavy rain. Put the batteries in it and dropped it into the bilge. Within a short time it had all the water pumped out. Works great for a pump that works off of 3 batteries. Not commercial grade but appears to be pretty durable. Very pleased with it!!

I use this pump solely to remove accululated water from the top of the swimming pool cover during the winter months. It does the work quickly, efficiently, and I would recommend it to anyone who has this problem to contend with. My wife uses it to empty our 100 gallon fish tank and it certainly makes short work of the tank cleaning task.

Used nearly daily to pump rainwater out of dinghy. Seems to use batteries slowly, very dependable, even works with the plastic case broken.

Junk

I bought one of these about six years ago and it worked for years. After it failed, I bought another one and immediately realized that it had been cheapened to the point where I knew it would not last. I have used the new one a total of two times and now it has failed. The plastic used to make the body is so thin and flimsy that the top will not seal. A submersible pump has to seal, this thing does not. Hey Attwood, go back to your old design. Hey West Marine, find a new manufacturer to supply this type of product. I would give this product 0 stars if the page would have let me.

Did not last two months

This Attwood pump no longer worked after two times of use, and within two months after I purchased it. The swich no longer turns on the pump. I changed the bateries (new). Still no work.
