Solid trainer for your varying workouts as you get yourself fit.
DCS ULTRA Soft-RYD is placed in the heel area for exceptional shock absorption. This technology combines the Dual Cantilever® system with an extended shank plate for torsional support and a 3/4 pressurized air chamber for excellent heel cushioning. The top surface of the shank works to hold your body's natural heel cushioning elements directly under your body at heel impact.
Cantilever® technology centers the heel of the foot over a concave sole. The concave sole performs similar to a trampoline to soften impact, stabilize the heel and provide increased energy return.
Upper is a blend of leather, synthetics and mesh for a durable yet breathable feel.
Removable, molded EVA sockliner offers cushioning.
Compression molded EVA midsole and TPU Torsion shank complement the DCS ULTRA Soft-RYD technology.
Solid rubber outsole allows for grip and durability while forefoot flex grooves enhance toe-off propulsion.

| Great aerobics shoe! I do a lot of high impact step aerobics as well as Plyos and HIIT and really need a shoe that will support my foot and cushion it. For years the only shoe I could wear through a whole high impact step workout were Ryka Enlight II, which have been discontinued (I bought 6 pair of them when I could and am on my last pair now). I tried these shoes today and loved them! They are very comfortable and I love the way they cradle my heel. I found the cushioning in them to be just fine (nothing spectacular, though) and felt very well supported. My toes didn't slide all around like some other reviewers mentioned. I feel these are true to size and width. The only thing I am not used to is the height (Ryka were high cut) and I did notice a little pinching in my ankle occasionally, but I'm sure that will go away once they loosen up and break in. Plus, I love the way they look, the orange is a perfect accent! After a couple more workouts with these if I still like them this much I'll have to buy another pair to keep on hand for when these wear out. | |

| Tried 3 other brands - this is the best I tried - I have tried 3 different brands of aerobic sneakers and none of them felt good while doing aerobics. These Avia's are the best so far. Love the cushioned heal. However, I'm still looking for the perfect pair. | |

| AVIA - What has happened to you? I have worn Avias for years - used to teach group fitness. I ordered these shoes hoping that they would be the same great Avias as always. Wrong! Avia has totally changed their shoes - these have absolutely NO support in the ball of the foot. No structure in the front so your foot slides around. Minimal arch support. My feet TOTALLY ache for the last 20 minutes of any class I take. I am shopping for other shoes - they will NOT be Avias. | |
