Backpacker's Pantry Egg Mix - 12 Eggs Reviews:

Protein powder...

The eggs require being cooked on an oiled shallow pan and we only had pots. We had the oil, since we made some of Mike Clellan's "Super Spackle" (the almond oil separated in the cold). We tried following the directions and making a smaller portion in the pot, but it ended up just being powdery and tasted awful, giving one of us a stomach ache and setting us back a few hours. The roughly 8 other freeze dried meals we had were (surprisingly) great, so I'm not just one of those people who can't handle backpacking food, but I'd stay away from this one. Additionally it makes a dozen eggs and the bag isn't resealable! -- If you insist on trying this, I recommend attempting to make a batch at home first, as unlike most instructions, there is more than "add boiling water... wait... eat".

Yuk Squared

Truely inedible. My son says, "For the love of God, don't eat these 'eggs'". I am not trying to be inflammatory, but this product tasted so bad, that neither of us could get the first spoon down, and could not recommend this to anyone!!
