Tasty!

We took this as a dessert for our last backpacking trip, and were really impressed with the flavor. Lots of chocolate with enough coffee flavor to make it interesting. The only real downside is the preparation directions (beat with 2 forks for a few minutes). I would subtract a star for this, but there's an easy workaround. After attempting to follow the directions for about 15 seconds, splattering chocolate goo all over me and our site, I sealed up the bag and just shook it for a few minutes. This was quite effective, and honestly I'm not sure why the directions choose to take the hard road.
I didn't notice any effects from caffeine that other reviews mention.

Pros
-Really really tasty

Cons
-Directions were unnecessarily complicated and messy

Pretty Good

Had this with a friend for breakfast, we both liked it quite a bit, planning to purchase more for dessert in the future. Twas a tiny bit runny in my opinion, but not too bad. There was quite a bit of stirring to prepare it, and we let it sit a bit longer than recommended for it to set a little more. Taste was worth it though; great mocha flavor, and it supplied plenty of energy. Good stuff, flavorful and relatively easy overall.

Best Pudding Ever

I bought this as a dessert one time for a long day of backpacking. It was good and rich. The problem is the caffeine, just too much of it. It kept me up all night. It was good,so I bought more. This time I ate it for breakfast. The energy lasted all day, and a I had a huge crash at night. Good product overall.

Like pudding with graham crackers

Following advice from other reviewers, a buddy and I ate this for breakfast due to the mocha/caffeine content in it. Easy to fix, didn't feel like stirring with two forks for 10 minutes though, so ours turned out a little lumpy.
Pretty much tastes like chocolate pudding with a graham cracker topping, which is what I was expecting so no real disappointment.

Really Good Hot

Although I am not a fan of freeze dried food usually make my own, I purchased this on a whim and I was very surprised. We likely didn't cook it all the way, and there was a underlying "water" taste to it but it was chocolate, hot, think, and taste and I'm sure it would make any hungry hiker very happy.

tasty treat

very tasty when super hungry and craving dessert. simple enough to make, add cold water and lots of stirring (used a mini whisk, directions call for 2 forks for a make shift whisk). Tastes like instant chocolate-coffee pudding with powder-like cookie crumbs to top. Satisfied cravings for ice cream, almost. Buying more, so that says something.

Love it!

This dessert is easy to prepare. Careful with the measurements and the stirring. The more aggressive you stir, the more this becomes pudding and not mousse. It tastes great as either. The graham cracker crust is a great additive!

Best Freeze Dried Dessert You'll Have

Makes for a great dessert for energy purposes. Can be made for breakfast too. Lots of Chocolate with a hint of coffee. If you eat it for dessert, the caffiene may keep you up all night.

Yummy

I didn't taste much mocha but it was a really good dessert and easy to prepare.

egh so so

this was an okay product. just like all the other reviews this was really sweet. dont get me wrong this product tastes really good and when you are on a long hike sweet things taste really good. but id rather carry around some dehydrated milk and pudding mix for half the price of this. other than the coffee tasting chocolate pudding, the graham cracker topping tastes a bit stale, it would be better off to carry a packet of graham crackers and have a more fresh tasting topping. this is perfect for lazy campers and hikers who want everything in one package

tastes good but...

This pudding was pretty good but overpriced and over-packaged. Seriously all you have to do is divide a box of instant pudding by four. Put the pudding powder into snack-sized baggies and add some powdered milk and instant coffee granules. When ready to eat, to each baggie add a quarter of the liquid recommended (water), let sit a few minutes then eat. I even bring a separate baggie of graham crackers or graham crumbs. Tastes great for a fraction of this price.

Good

Fairly good tasting. Easy to make but requires some cleanup. Biggest problem is that it contains caffeine which kept me up for a good portion of one night.
