Easy Bake Oven

Rating:*****
Let me start with a confession. Okay, I admit it - I always secretly wanted to have an Easy Bake Oven like my older sister growing up. Easy to use; makes a variety of fresh baked treats; no need to crank up the kitchen oven when it's hot out.

I picked up a couple of these for a week long canoe camping trip on the Allagash Wilderness Waterway in northern Maine with Boy Scouts. We're baking fresh bread and desserts daily - What a treat after a hard day's rowing! Just follow the straightforward directions. We used them on a portable 2-burner propane stove, two at a time, which worked well (if a little tight).

Only downside I could see is stability, which could vary based on your model stove. It would've been nice if the Riser Bar had 4 legs instead of 3 (more protection against tipping).

Well Sis, I got the last word in easy baking!

Great little Oven!

I borrowed one of these ovens and took it on our last canoe trip, 7 days in Algonquin. We made cakes, brownies, pizzas and more. Easy to use, easy to clean. My camp buddies were most impressed by the baked goods. I'm getting my own ASAP.
