My old sheepskin slippers wore out, and I finally shopped for a new pair. Decided on these on a lark because of the price. While I'm glad I got them, and may even get a second pair, they are really more of an occasional-use slipper or travel slipper, NOT an everyday slipper. The slippers in the photo are two months old...I use them every day.
Now, if I get a second pair, I will toss them in my travel bag: the slippers are light, compressible, and keep my feet really warm without being restrictive or difficult to get on or off. But I don't think they'll make it through til summer. While the insole isn't wearing as much as I would have guessed based on the material, the heel seam on the left slipper has some stray threads, and both slippers are quite stained.
Also, as other reviews have pointed out, these run small. I wear a women's size 9, and the Large fits--they're a little tight if I wear socks. I also enjoy the scuffing sound they make on carpet, and the traction's good for a soft-soled shoe. I imagine that on a plane, they'll be heavenly...I think I just talked myself into that second pair!
Bought my girlfriend these as a gift, she loves them. They were intended as a replacement for her North Face tent mules, which are very similar. She actually prefers the Baffins over those, and they are also half the price. I bought some for myself, and I really like them as well. They are plush, but not so thick to make your feet too warm or sweat. Note, the bottoms are intended for inside the house, so I wouldn't take these outside as they probably won't last long...but inside they are king. Plus they can be easily washed if they start to get a little smelly.
I was shopping to replace an old pair of North Face Tent Mule slippers. I wanted something with the same comfort, but for less money and I only wear them around the house, so didn't need or want the stiff sole. The Baffin Cush is perfect - comfortable, warm, packable for travel. I've only had them 1 week, so don't know how long they will last or how well they will wash, but already plan to buy another pair for my husband.
My husband and I are both on our second pair and actually bought an extra because they go out of stock quickly. These slippers are extremely comfortable and warm. I wanted something with a non-slip bottom but something I could tuck under my legs or snuggle under a blanket in without a rubber sole getting in the way. They are truly sleeping bags for your feet. The only slippers I will ever buy.
I love Baffin slippers! I need something for padding around the house in cold weather and these are perfect. No hard sole, so they feel like a sock. Since they are made of nylon dog hair won't stick either - a big plus for those of us who house shedders! Soft soles mean they aren't quite as durable, but the comfort makes it worth the every year or two replacement.
I ordered these slippers for my 96 year old Mom-in-law for Christmas. On receiving them I knew they would be too small...customer service handled my reorder and return with the most pleasant attitude and got the larger pair delivered in time for Christmas. My Mom-in-law loves them!
Very warm, and very comfortable - you really can sleep in these. And you can't beat the price. I do wish, however, they were a more stain resistant. I have these in "fern" and the shiny-ish nylon shows dirt easily.
These are awesome slippers and equal (or superior) in quality to those that retail for over $40. They have a sturdy sole, they pack small, and they are warm. You won't want to take them off.
If you don't have a pair of these, you're missing out! Perfect for super chilly mornings. They fit snugly and have just enough traction to keep you from wiping out on the hardwood.
These slippers are awesome, so warm and comfy. Not too durable for outside but great for lounging around indoors. I usually wear a women's 6.5 shoe and the small size fit perfectly.
I bought these for my girlfriend whose feet get cold around the house pretty easily. She didn't feel like these were quite what she expected. They are very warm, but the ankle is a bit low so it feels like they are slipping off at all times.
Now I don´t have to keep up with he cold feed sneaking up on me in the bed. Now she can go to bed with warm feet.
Only snag is the filing in the sole has capsized.
They make my feet look huge, but since they are for hanging around the house during the winter, who cares.
