| Rocky Mountain Daily Drivers - I love these shoes! Living in the Taos, NM in the Rocky Mountains, it is important to have shoes that can handle snow, but more importantly, SLUSH, MUD, and ICE. These Baffin slip-on boots are ideal. When taking out the trash across the packed snow and ice, I put on my Baffins. Any other shoe and I risk wiping out. They grip like a gecko. In the grocery store parking lot, when there are three inches of sloppy slush, these are great. My kids' school has a dirt (mud) parking lot, and these handle it fine- they rinse off easily. Many homes here have a mud room where people expect you to kick off your shoes as you come in rather than track mud all over the house. These shoes slip on and off easily, yet don't feel like they are going to fall off my foot when walking around. Baffin Natives are nicely insulated though not bulky. These are not my blizzard boots- I have some serious lace-up snow boots for the big storms, but I'm not willing to bog around in those big dogs on a daily basis. The Baffin Natives are my perfect winter shoe, just what I have been looking for years. I'm going to stock up on a second pair for next winter and beyond! | |

| Good Boot - I purchased this boot for my husband. We live in Maine and the weather has been very wintry. So, the boot has great traction in the snow and ice and keeps his feet warm. He tells me he likes them a lot. The only thing is that they are a little loose in the heel for him. I purchased a 1/2 size bigger than his normal shoe size because I read other reviews saying it was necessary. Which it is the cause if I had gotten his correct size they would be a little to snug and then probably get the rubbing effect. Overall, comfortable, warm and no problems in the winter weather. | |

| Comfy Shoe! I got these for my husband and he loves them! Perfect for weather that fluctuates and when you aren't sure if you will need the protection or not but these boots are cool enough to pull off a casual look without being too bulky. | |

| Good winter-wet choice - Baffin knows what they're doing. Good shoe for all around cold-wet weather wear. Great for the 1-3 inch snow events. Comfortable, warm enough. If you usually need a wide size this shoe is for you. Wears wide. Recommended | |

| Reviewed after two months of wearing them cold, wet Baffins. I bought this shoe 2 months ago and I was at first impressed by its feel, look and traction on very slick surfaces. I was wanting a winter boot that was not only warm and waterproof, but easy to take off and on like the Keen Providence which are sadly not made anymore. It seems like every shoe maker is coming out with their own version of the keen providence, which keep my feet warm and dry for over two years of wear! The Baffin Native is neither warm or waterproof. I am so glad I waited for time to pass before I wrote this review. The Baffins are ok but they do not hold a candle to the Keens for water proofing or warmth. I have tried different socks, used Dr. Martens water proofer, the best water proofer, weekly, and put in wool soles but by mid-day, its December in Iowa, my feet were wet and cold. I had to buy a $40.00 new pair of work boots to get me through one day from Costco. Even the Costco boots are waterproof! Yesterday I noticed the insulation lining of the Baffin is wearing through the heel already. The lining is a very thin polyester material. No Gore-Tex or Gore-Tex like material for waterproofing or wool lining like the Keen Providence. A wool lining would also help wick the water away from the feet to keep them warm and dry. So if Baffin made improvements to the Native, by adding Gore-Tex, and a quarter inch of wool lining or thinsulate the shoe would be water proof and warm like Baffin said in the description of this boot on Zappos and the Baffin website. Lastly, the rubber edge looks impressive to keep water out of the sole seam. But the rubber is already separating from the sides where my foot bends when walking. Right now as it gets into January, I will buy another brand of boot to wear to work in, along with the Costco boot. This Baffin boot is only going to be used indoors and outdoors to retrieve the morning newspaper. I would only buy the Baffin boot again if the warmth issue and waterproof issue were corrected. They look and feel nice but aren't made for warmth and waterproofness to use for Iowa winters or cold winter weather anywhere. | |
