Fantastic craftmanship...

I had originally purchased this bow with the intention of returning it, just so that I could get a feel of the grip and get an idea of what the construction was like. The reason? It's cause I've just started, and all I've ever used were loaner bows. Since they didn't have this model in stock at the local store, I figured that there'd be no harm in just checking one out, and returning it within 90 days. However, I must say, it's a beautiful bow. It fits my left hand perfectly, and the lines of it are so graceful. Sure, It's a pretty penny, and I'm not able to draw 50# yet, but having it around makes it so tempting to just hold onto it. If you get it, I don't think you'd regret it.

Super Grizzly

Great bow, I don't think one could do any better for the money. It looks great and shoots better. Very smooth with low hand shock. If your considering the Grizzly I would definetly save a few more bucks and go with the Super Grizzly. Main reason is you can use the Dynaflight String which is low stretch over the older style. I purchased the 55# as I was guessing what would be right for me. I shoot a 70# compound and could have gone up to a 60#, but the lower draw weight makes it a blast to shoot.

Bear Excellence

Bear really did a great job re-doing this bow. Shoots great, no handshock and very smooth draw. Purchased the 55lb and I am very pleased. Have been shooting traditional for quite a few years and have a couple of longbows and recurves. This was worth writing a review. My new favorite traditional bow!!!!

Broke after three months of light use

I shot this bow for about 3 months about twice or three times weekly and it performed well. However, during the last practice session, the upper limb just split apart along the lamination line. I have always taken extremely good care of this bow, stored it correctly and never abused it or put any undue strain on it. So this incident is catching me completely by surprise. I always thought Fed Bear bows are supposed to be top of the line bows. Well, so much for that...
