I just wanted to write this review to clear up the confusion from some of the reviews that I have read. These boots run about half a size large. I have seen some people pair extra long shoes with skinny jeans. If that is the look you are going for then order your regular size. If not then order half a size down. If your feet are very narrow you may want to order a full size down. But these boots are narrow and you will have to give them a little time to stretch. Also, they are very slippery, but only on carpet. So far they have had good grip on every other surface. But they are similar to leather soled shoes which can be slippery to varying degrees. Some other things people do not mention is that the rubber sole is surprisingly comfortable. You will definitely notice it when you walk around. Technically, the footbed may be lightly cushioned, but Bed Stu states that it takes some time for the footbed to mold to your feet. Also, the boots come with a tag stating that the leather is vegetable tanned. This makes the leather eco friendly. So far I love these boots and they go perfectly with slim or skinny jeans or pants.

I've had these Brydens for about a month now. I was looking for a boot with a less noticeable sole and heel, that still maintained some classic elements. They seem to be wearing in nicely so far. I heard some complaints of the upper being thin and wear exposing material underneath, but I've had no issues relating to that so far. I mostly wear them to more casual work settings. I could imagine if you wear them in inclement weather throughout the year, you'd probably wear them out quickly...but these boots aren't really meant for that sort of use. Quite comfortable for all day, everyday use. I have high arches and my feet remain happy in them. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a more budget minded boot that's not overly distressed / overworked / embellished.

Just got these and I like them. The look and fit are great and the price is right. The soles of the shoes are slick but once you walk around on various surfaces, the slipping subsides.

Nice boot, I was looking for low heel, dress look more than expected but nice with jeans and casual and dress pants.

This is a nice looking shoe, but it would have been nicer with a higher heel. I notice in today's day the heels are low, if any heel at all.
