  • GPS (Geared Positioning System) fit system delivers 1-hand adjustment for superior fit and comfort; simply slide the dial to click-in to the perfect personalized fit

Ventilation:

  • Reinforcements allow bigger vents, more advanced styling, and lighter weight, while still meeting stringent safety standards
  • Specially designed ventilation channels on the interior of the helmet's liner bring cool air in through the front, pass it over the head and flushes warm air out of the rear ports
  • Internal Reinforcement - Composite skeletons help to fortify the internal structure of the bicycle helmet to allow for maximum ventilation.
  • Features 22 high volume, internally channeled vents

Straps:

  • Cam-Lock strap levers make it easy to adjust the straps around your ears

Features:

  • Internal composite reinforcements fortify helmets the same way rebar makes concrete stronger
  • Approximate weight 305 grams
  • CPSC certified, CE EN1078

Great fit

I was using a competitor's product (that also makes bikes), mainly for the intake vent on the front rim. It didn't cool me any better and in fact I still would have sweat dripping in my eyes even with using a headband; never experienced that with the Bell I used to use (replaced it after a crash). I went back to Bell because my old one fit me great as does the Lumen. We are all different so some helmets fit some heads better than others. Bells work for me, even their auto racing helmets. Anyway, since going to the Lumen my forehead sweat is greatly reduced (I still need to use a headband)and I've noticed a reduction is wind noise in that it's less sharp and therefor less annoying.

Fine Helmet

This helmet fits me better than my previous two: Specialized and Bern. I like the adjustable dial in the rear. I wear a visor sometimes. Nice to be able to readjust quickly when it is removed. Color red and white are visible to motorists. Not sure about durability yet since I have only had it a week. Price is great considering competition. [@] has some reviews by people who have crashed and were protected by the helmet. I would like to have a built in visor as in the Bern to protect face from sun. Very happy with it so far.

Can't go wrong with this helmet

I've had this for about three months now and have nothing but positives to say about it. The adjustable headband allows a customizable fit, and the chin straps are easily adjusted too. I like how it rides low on my forehead giving me a greater sense of protection. Well ventilated for hot weather riding (Houston, TX) and so light weight you can hardly notice that you're wearing it. A great bargain for the money.

I don't even notice I'm wearing it!

I'm an average sized female, I got a small and it fits perfectly. I love this helmet, I forget I'm even wearing it while I'm riding. It's a great medium price point for a good quality helmet. Definitely a good buy. And the quick adjustment in back is nice and works well. My boyfriend likes it so much after seeing mine, he wants one himself.

Love It!

I just love this helmet. It was a replacement for one I've had for years and I couldn't believe how nice it was for the price. To be honest, I checked out a lot of higher priced ones on the shelf and just thought this one worked great for me...and kept a substantial amount of money in my wallet. Thanks and happy riding!

Cool helmet that protects your safety

I bought this one to replace another model that I had purchased earlier and lost within a month of purchase. I was able to continue to use an older model but when I got my REI dividend, I knew that another Bell Lumen Bike Helmet would soon be mine. I like their style and safety.

Saved me from a serious crash

Great helmet with a nice price point. I fell off my bike today going 17mph and this helmet saved my head from hitting the curb. Helmet has a small dent, but no issues at all on my head. This is a definite keeper, and a testament to why hemlets are so important.

Nice Fit.

I've been a Giro user for years but the new ones don't fit as well so I switched to Bell. This one fits great. My noggin is right on the medium large border so I opted for large to fit my Halo sweat/ headband.

Great Value; Good Quality

I originally purchased a much more expensive helmet made by a different manufacturer that didn't fit properly. This helmet has a great adjustment system, is better made and has good attention to detail. For the money, I think it is a great investment.

Lifesaver

Totally saved me from certain concussion when I slipped on my Vurtego pogo on slick concrete and fell backwards. Looks great, feels right and there's no way I'd be writing this review tonight without it! You are not invincible! Get a helmet!!!

get what you pay for

Ok helmet but not great. I had the Giro 'Transfer' before for similar price and use. the Giro came with two sets of adjustment pads to get the right fit. this one didn't and i cant get the right fit. the dial only changes the straps not the overall volume.

its also heavier than the Giro. Nice finish but I am overall disappointed by it.
