Beman Classic's 340

I bought these for a new longbow that I bought because the charts recommended them. After shooting them I found them to be too stiff for the longbow but they do shoot great out of my compound bow. Love the feathers too. My first experience with the HIT inserts and they do give the arrow a nice look with out a visible insert. I did miss the target once and had an arrow break but it did not shatter like carbons have in the past, the tip bent about 45 degrees to the side. I think the HIT insert saved the arrow from catastrophic failure. I can easily trim this arrow for a friend with a shorter draw, insert a new HIT insert and be ready to go.

Arrows are sweet

I bought these arrows last month and theses things are great I have been hunting for years and have never had better arrows than this one. I love the fletchings instead vanes they are lighter and much more accurate. The classic wood grain look nice too. I cant wait to use these on elk hunt this November.

Negative Reviews:

Dissappointed

The quality of these arrows is very dissappointing. The feathers are bent and there is glue on the feathers and shafts. These are the most expensive arrows I have found and I chose them because they will not warp and they are heavy enough to generate the energy required to shoot deer with my recurve.

Heavy Arrows

These arrows are very heavy in comparison with other graphite arrows I own. My pin adjustment is large enough where I can not shoot these with other arrows. Like a previous review said, the fletchings are very cheaply done with the barring only on one side of the feather. Also, the feathers are mounted to far forward on the shaft (1"). When nocking an arrow the 5" fletching actually touches my rest. The shafts all have a seam of white going right down the middle and with the points in they, also, do not appear perfectly symmetrical. I do like the classic look, but they are not up to par with other wood grain looking arrows that I own and that are out there. These would be a good match for someone looking for a heavy hunting arrow that uses a big broadhead (ie. traditional or recurve shooters). They are not speedy (more like a reliable cluncker).
