Nice Rifle

I purchased the .177 model from Cabelas after previously buying (and returning) and .22 model from a different retailer. The .22 had some accuracy issues, mainly that the baffles in the "suppressor" were not lined up with the bore. After drilling them out a bit to allow the pellet to exit without striking, accuracy did improve however, not to where I wanted it to be. The .177 however has been a delight! I'm not even through the break in period and it's dead on, enough so that I've been picking off birds in the back yard. I was originally attracted to the look/feel of the stock, top notch design and it matches one of my other rifle stocks. The scope is decent, it comes with target turrets which was a nice addition as well as a parallax adjustment which clears up the view at varied distances. All in all, I highly recommend this rifle. Also, in terms of loudness, this rifle is quite nice. I live in the city and my neighbors have no idea when I'm shooting.

Excellent gun

Great shooter. Excellent scoop. Only minor problem was scoop protector lens needed re-inserted.

Negative Reviews:

Hopefully I got a dud!

After shooting about 400 shots the gun grouped the shots over 3 and a half inches at ten yards. The scope would not raise up high enough and so the shots were low. There were times some shots grouped together, but I would hate to hunt with it because you wouldn't know where it shot. I have sent it back to get a different one. I hope that this one will be everything we hope it to be. Cabela's has wonderful customer service. So I hope that the gun I got and sent back was just a dud and the others that you buy will be great. Until I find out how well the replacement shoots, I will rate it 1 star and not recommend it, but that can change.

I order and received the Benjamin Jim Shockey Legacy Air Rifle. After spending a day trying to site in the rifle I am returning it to Cabela’s. The scope is defective and with the elevation adjustment maxed out the rifle was still shooting low. The seal where the breach and barrel connect was squashed out on the top side and looked to have a questionable seal when the barrel was lock in. All in all I am extremely disappointed in the product coming from a company that advertises quality.
