Top line for distance casting

I have used the 2lb Crystal line to set the current national record in 1/4 oz distance casting (1/4 oz aluminum plug) at 327 feet. Check the ACA website if you don't believe it. All of the top casters in the US+Canada use Fireline for 1/4 oz. Tying the knot can be tricky. But once that's taken care of, I can hammer the heck out of that little distance plug and the relatively smooth and low-memory line goes and goes - well over 300' under good conditions.

Crystal -- choice

This is the only line to use for light biting crappie fishing in our off colored reservoirs. Fishing a light jig and tube over deep water brush piles, makes the no- stretch ability a major plus. Even the lightest of bites are easily felt allowing for quick strikes and sets.

Fireline

This is better than regular mono for almost all types of open water fishing. I use it particularly for early spring and then later summer top water hits, when the fish may need that extra tug in setting the hook.

Crystal Line

Greatest line for Bass fishing. The Crystal Line is easy to cast and you can see the slightest nibble on your bait.
