#1 Go-To Artificial Bait, SW Florida

I fish sw Florida Gulf and bays, and these baits (New Penny, Natural) in 3" @ 4" will catch many varieties of fish, bottom fishing, year-round. They are great for introducing children to fishing, and for placing on jigs or hooks, since they do not squirm. The scent release feature will not be matched for results compared to similar shrimp artificials without it, especially in cloudy or choppy water conditions. Redipping these baits during use in the their "goop" can enhance the advantages. Urge removing these baits from jigs or hooks upon end of fishing, otherwise they dry, shrink, and fuse tight on tackle and cannot be used again. '

Lots of spotties in the bay

I have been using the 3 inch new penny in San Diego bay and they are great. I drop shot them on a 1/0 light wire wire circle hook and I'm just killing them. My buddy tries to use bait and it works but I pull 3 times more fish then him. They do last, I just switch them out once in a while to keep the scent fresh.

Can you top this?

Fishing with my godson and his father on San Diego bay we were using 3" molting shrimp. Catching was very good, but the best was a spotted bay bass that when put on the deck spit out a live molting shrimp that was like a twin to our artificial bait. We decided that we were using the right bait!

Soft bait !

Gulps used to be alot tougher. It seems that they rip after one fish. When they first came out, you would catch 4 of 5 fish before having to replace them. :-( . They still work good . just don't last like they used too.
